Our server was great, but they say us and I think they forgot we were there. Once they figured it out everything was amazing.

Ate brunch here on my first visit. The food and service were both great. I’d definitely revisit them. The mimosa flight was amazing.

Once again, a wonderful meal at State Fare. I had the gumbo this time. It was delicious and I’m from Louisiana so I’m very picky. The staff is top-notch and very attentive to your needs. A great experience!

Most of the reviews I see are of the brunch/earlier menu items, I had dinner here. First off, the food itself is okay, not bad, but it's also not something that one should drive over 15 minutes for. Granted, I come from a family of women who can cook and men who can grill. That being said and my bias showing, it's an okay establishment. Important recommendation, don't get the plate item if the same food is listed as a sandwich/burger item, friend who was with me got the fried chicken sandwich, I got the fried chicken plate. Said friend basically got 75% of the amount of chicken I got on a plate, except it came with a bun, lettuce, tomato, etc. and a side of fries. Fried chicken itself wasn't really all that spectacular, it was good, but not the kind of fried chicken that my grandmama makes and you want to eat it even past when your stomach is telling you "no". My plate of fried chicken came with potato salad & collard greens, I didn't ask to have the sides swapped out because if the restaurant is good, it will make good collard greens and potato salad. These sides were okay. The collard greens had a little too much vinegar & the potato salad was less salad and more potato with a little bit of mayo dressing, no onion, no celery, no other vegetables to make it a genuine potato salad, somewhat disappointing. The best items I had were on the Farm Board from the appetisers, I highly recommend it, the sausage links were excellent along with the mustard. Overall, it was okay, but get the sandwiches/burgers over the plates for the same food item, and ask if you can swap out sides if your gut is telling you to. Maybe I should have gotten the seafood? I was expecting state fair food as the name suggests, but it was more like attempting to make swanky standard Southern fare.
