Man It's really hard to mess up a cheese burger but suko's was able to do it. When you walk you're hit with the STENCH of mildew. It was so bad I thought about waiting for my food outside. I ordered a double meat cheese burger basket with a drink. $16 dollars I had to double take when i gave it a second thought. I got my order. The buns were just plain pieces of bread. The meat was tough and flavorless.. Y'all even the fries didn't have a pinch of salt. I'm sorry guys but this burger was so lacking of flavor and was just slipping and sliding it was hard to eat I ended up throwing it away. The burger they gave out during high school lunchess was miles better than this..read that again..Shoulda just went to whatburger it would have been 2-3 dollars cheaper..

Bacon cheeseburger with a fried egg, perfectly juicy and salty, the cheese melted just right. Tater tots were deliciously crunchy on the outside and pillowy soft on the inside. 10/10!

Good food for the price and big burgers. Try the onion ring burger
Ordered the chicken wings w fries. VERY bland meal. No flavor at all. For $14 I expected something tastier.
Really good burgers and affordable for local spots!
Classic burger joint. Old school. So fantastic.
This was my neighborhood favorite. But the taste and ambiance are not the same.
Thier closed on weekends bummer

Solid 1/3 pound burger for $6ish. Pretty quick too. I’ll be back to try the 1/2 pounder!

The food here is fire, I ordered a triple cheeseburger burger basket and wow when I took the first bite it was a challenge due to how big the burger was I had to give it a lil squeeze and everything was piping hot and delicious. The place could use some updating but trust that the food is delicious.

During the 90s and 00s I was a club promoter in the 6th and 3rd ward and have seen the decline of mom and pop shops over the years through gentrification.
So when my friends told me about a still surviving mom and pop restaurant in the 2nd ward I was super excited!
However, when we arrived we quickly discovered that the restaurant had been bought out.
There is a sign on the counter that says, all cash purchases get a discount. Nice! However, if you pay cash they don't have the right change and he will simply say, I owe you. Not good.
The old fashioned burger was good! But it was cookie cutter good. I've had the same burger in Stafford, Sugar Land, etc. Even my friends noted that it was good, but different, the magic was gone.
The chicken tenders were large, however, there was no sauce for them. When we asked about gravy he simply said, it's too much trouble. Not good.
What makes mom and pop restaurants so special is that they care! They want to give every customer an amazing experience because they love what they do! That's the magic! The connection. They may not have the largest profit margins, but they have the most loyalty.
This restaurant feels like an investment opportunity. Right on the cusp of 2nd ward and the ever expanding hipster EaDo that's taking over everything.
But I have no doubt that if it renamed 2nd Wards Original Sukos Burger since 1989, all the hipsters from the fancy coffee place 4 blocks away will flock to it.
