Be careful going here. The bouncer or security guy or whatever he was decided to spray me and my friends with pepper spray when we weren’t even being loud, belligerent, threatening, nothing. We were leaving and the elevator let us off on the wrong floor. He came asked us to leave, pretty harshly. I apologized for the mistake and we left. While standing outside, I’m not sure what provoked him, but he decided to pepper spray all of us. There were witness who did not understand why he did it either. None of the other bouncers could tell us why he just sprayed all of us when there was no reason to. Me and my friends were burning for quite some time because of it. It’s the next day and my arms are still burning. I’m not sure whether to file a police report or what, but we will never be going here again if this is how security treats people who aren’t a threat and who had already left the building after spending so much money on drinks
Perhaps reviews need to separated between reviews made during one's experience on a busy weekend vs non-peak days/times because there is a STARK difference.
Non-peak days/times, that rooftop bar vibes and views are amazing!
My last experience, however, was disappointing; took 2 friends there w the intention of showing of being able to catch up while sipping and showing them a nice city view. Instead, had to maze through a sea of people and speak up beyond the decimal of a chill chitchat because of the mass attendance of night-goers. Perhaps limiting the # of occupants to ensure a memorable experience and ongoing loyalty would have been a better strategy. I'm but one customer, but that was probably my last visit.

I ordered one vodka soda for $14 and left. The found another $19.05 charge on my credit card. Watch out for fraud at this bar as it is rampant. Not going back; previous ownership was much better.

If you want to be RACIALLY profiled at the door come here!! The door guy was weird and checked my friends bag and this was the third bar of the night the bags weren’t checked but here they were.. there was a small liquor bottle my friend forgot she had in there so he grabbed it was like this isn’t “girl things” and she was like okay? Tries to take it back so we can just leave but said “No you can’t have it back since you came thru my door” mind you we are all still OUTSIDE!! (Still grabbed it out of his hands) and left but he rude and unwelcoming, and the ppl before us had a completely different experience. We ended up at truck yard and it was totally worth it and we enjoyed their variety of food and live music with no weird vibes or aggressiveness…
Great place with great music on Sunday nights. The DJ was amazing, my wife and I had a great time.

I had a wonderful experience. The service was great. The drinks were awesome. The bartender was amazing so attentive. I want to make sure her employer knows that they are lucky. She is a tall woman with very short blonde hair.

Just the best! I keep coming back because I know I can rely on this place. I have a hard time with remembering names, but the short haired female is always amazing. She makes this place! -H

This is my first ever google review so it did take a bad experience for me to take the time to even leave one, and a LATE one at that. On 10/17 friday night we went out for drinks before a show that night to celebrate my birthday weekend. We were ready to purchase plenty of drinks and leave a nice tip since I know how stressful it can be working a busy weekend etc. The bartender was beyond rude! She was caucasian and had a buzz cut , (describing her so the right person gets addressed) We politely raised our hand to ask for a drink menu(our first time there) and the bartender literally shouts “The menu is behind the bar!” Rude and loud. Unprofessional and tachy. I thought maybe she was having a rough day but no excuses for that. I proceed to try and order a drink AT the bar that was empty at the time and she is texting on her phone, looks up and looks my dead in the eyes and gets back to texting. Did not bother once to ask what I needed so the nice bartender next to her attended me. We had money to spend and well we just took our business else where. You would think working in this industry you would want to make your money back in tips( but this woman was the worst bartender I have ever had. Can’t believe I even have to make this review smh. Houston has a ton of bars, won’t be back. Mind you, we drove from out of town.

Jillian the manager is ensuring a smooth service and workflow. I’ve noticed she demonstrates what it means to be a people person and navigate running a business! She’s a gem that must be valued cause without her the business would feel it!

This place is trash, music so loud we could hear it 4 blocks away
Update 10/26/25 This is in response to the Owner’s unprofessional reply. No I do not work at the Truckyard. My wife and I were trying to enjoy our evening out. We went into your establishment but the music was so loud we couldn’t even hear each other talk so we left in disappointment. As we walked to neighboring businesses we couldn’t believe we could still hear your music 4 blocks away. If your plan is to turn customers away and go broke because you’re blasting out their eardrums then you’re on the right path. Your response is very shocking and unlike a business owner who wants to succeed and be a valued business in the area.
