Their food was absolutely amazing. My wife and I dined- in and had a little bit of this and that on the menu. We Had some curry & jerk chicken, beans, rice and vegetables Food was really tasty 😋 !! I've saved this place as one of my favorite spots whenever I visit the Houston area.

I catered an event from Taste of Caribbean on Sunday June 7th. The food was absolutely amazing. All of the guests wanted to get referrals. My only complaint is that I didn't order a larger size pan of the macaroni pie. Will definitely use them again along with my normal visits to the restaurant.

As a Guyanese, I take Caribbean food very seriously. I grew up around these flavors, so I tend to be much more critical when reviewing Caribbean restaurants than I am with other types of cuisine. Because of that, when I give a Caribbean restaurant 5 stars, it's because they truly earned it.

I recently visited Taste of the Caribbean, and I was genuinely impressed from start to finish. The first thing that stood out was the restaurant itself. The building has a warm, inviting atmosphere with a clean and well-maintained dining area that makes you feel comfortable the moment you walk in. The aesthetics strike a great balance between modern dining and the welcoming feeling you'd expect from a Caribbean establishment.

The food was excellent. I started with the doubles, and they were packed with flavor. The bara was soft, fresh, and complemented the channa perfectly. It's not easy to find doubles that taste authentic, but these definitely hit the mark.

From the buffet, I tried the fried rice, green beans, spinach, chicken curry, and baked macaroni and cheese. Every item tasted fresh and well-prepared. The chicken curry had rich Caribbean flavor with the right blend of seasonings, the fried rice was flavorful without being overpowering, and the vegetables were cooked perfectly. The baked mac and cheese was creamy, comforting, and a great addition to the plate. What impressed me most was that every item felt like it was made with care rather than simply prepared in bulk for a buffet.

The service was another highlight of my visit. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The staff made the experience feel genuine and provided the kind of hospitality that keeps customers coming back.

As someone born and raised in Caribbean culture, I know authentic Caribbean food when I taste it. Taste of the Caribbean delivered on flavor, presentation, atmosphere, and customer service. If you're looking for authentic Caribbean cuisine, delicious doubles, flavorful curry, and a welcoming dining experience, this restaurant is absolutely worth visiting.

Don’t order from here! I’ve tried to order here on two occasions and twice my order was canceled. I even called to see if they were accepting orders only to place it and get my order cancelled. Money taken out of my account and forced to wait 3 to 5 business days to get it back.

I tried to call the restaurant and asked to speak to the manager. Once I attempted to explain the experience I was cut off yelled at and hung up on. Very rude? Very disrespectful. I believe in supporting small businesses as they are what make American such a great place. But this restaurant did not appreciate or care about my business. My order exceeded $80 and in today’s market that’s not a cheap dinner. My advice to any potential customers spend your money at a place that respects your business.

Authentic Trinidadian flavors. The doubles are delicious 🤤

We stopped in for some Caribbean comfort food, and this place delivered the real deal. The curry chicken was rich, flavorful, and cooked to absolute perfection — tender meat, bold spices, and that unmistakable island warmth in every bite. The fresh dhal puri roti wrapped it all together like a hug from somebody’s Trini grandmother.

The restaurant itself was spotless and had that welcoming, home‑away‑from‑home vibe. Even though I’m not Trinidadian, the atmosphere had me feeling Trini to de bone the whole time.

If you’re craving authentic Caribbean flavor — not the watered‑down version, but the kind that hits your soul — this spot is a must.

I had a 12 hour layover at the Houston airport and I found this Trinidadian restaurant close by. Came by and it was the best doubles I ever had. Better than any place I had in New York, Atlanta or Florida. Fresh ingredients,, tasty

So let’s start by the customer service 10. My husband and I ate at this establishment on Saturday during buffet hours and my goodness EVERYTHING was amazing. My husband was born in the south, so this was his first time eating Trini food. The owners were so welcoming and explained each dish that we ate. The food was so FRESH and filling, great music, and a great vibe. This is definitely one of the best Caribbean restaurants I’ve been to since moving to Houston and will be returning again ad again and again.

First time having Trini food and it was delicious. I think most people go into Caribbean spots wanting traditional “Jamaican” food not realizing there are so many other Caribbean cultures that also produce just as good food. So while the flavors were a bit different it still seemed authentically true to the culture. I got the stewed chicken plate with rice and peas and cabbage. The vegetables were a bit spicier than expected. Rice and peas reminded me of my aunts from St. Croix.

The lady at the window was pleasant enough and my food was prepared in a timely fashion. If I had to find a con, it would be for the price I expected to have a bit more meat on the plate. There were a lot of bones and I think the chicken thighs (I’m assuming) could’ve been meatier. I also think the chicken patty could’ve had more filling. Lastly, the plantains could’ve been fried a minute less.

The location also offers random knickknacks that you can pickup to cook authentic food at home. Some ingredients not readily available at a traditional store like H-E-B. All-in-all I’ll be back.
