The French Corner Catering

Marco and his team from The French Corner truly exceeded all expectations for our Office of Research holiday social. The food was absolutely outstanding—exceptionally flavorful, beautifully prepared, and a true highlight of the event. The presentation was elegant and festive, perfectly complementing the holiday theme and elevating the overall experience for our guests.

The holiday setup was stunning and thoughtfully arranged, creating a warm, polished, and celebratory atmosphere. Every detail was carefully executed, from the layout to the décor. Setup was seamless, and teardown was handled with the same level of efficiency and care, making the entire process effortless for our team.

Marco and his staff delivered exceptional customer service throughout the event. Their kindness, professionalism, and genuine thoughtfulness were evident in every interaction. Their attention to detail ensured that everything ran smoothly, allowing us to fully enjoy the celebration without worry.

It was a pleasure working with Marco, his outstanding team, Sarah, George and The French Corner establishment. Their dedication, hospitality, and commitment to excellence made our holiday social truly memorable.

I highly recommend them for any event where outstanding food, beautiful presentation, and impeccable service are a priority.

I have lunch there and the salmon is to die for yet the service was superb.

Respectfully, how can I trust a company to deliver food and do their job when at Sam’s club gas station after being asked to switch off their engine multiple times while refilling, the gentlemen just gives me a weird look.

The hysterical part is watching the same guy go into Sam’s club, grab the food and cut off an elderly couple in line to checkout.

This is the same company who also might I add had a similar driver (might even be the same guy) who pushed a cart into a disabled space as a car was trying to park in it at the same Sam’s club,

You might want to start issuing a dash cam or even hire people who act like human beings!

Our company regularly orders catering from this restaurant for meetings. While their customer service is friendly and helpful, there are several recurring issues that make the experience frustrating.
1. Menu Accuracy & Portions: The menu is not always accurate, and breakfast portions tend to be small. When ordering the Deluxe Hearty Continental Breakfast, be aware that the ratio of hot food to pastries is off—you’ll receive fewer hot items than expected. Additionally, some pastries arrive cut in half, which feels like an attempt to stretch portions rather than provide full servings.
2. Pricing: Prices have increased, particularly due to the upcharge on eggs, so it’s something to keep in mind when budgeting for catering.
3. Order Accuracy & Lack of Remedies: There is no clear resolution process when mistakes happen. A major issue occurred with the Caribbean Jerk Chicken. Since jerk chicken often contains bones, I called in advance to confirm if it was boneless. I was assured it would be, yet we received a pan full of bone-in chicken—an inconvenience for a working meeting. The restaurant stated they would update the menu back in November to clarify this, but it still has not been corrected.

While we appreciate the staff’s helpfulness and have continued using their services, it’s frustrating to spend so much money and not feel like we’re getting what we pay for. If the restaurant can address these issues—especially menu accuracy and portion sizes—it would greatly improve the overall experience.

FRENCH CORNER RECENTLY OPENED IN AUG- 2024 AT THE 7000 FANNIN ST, HOUSTON TX 77030 AND IM SAD TO HEAR THAT THE CATERER MR SALVADOR WAS MOVED FROM OUT LOCATION. THE WHOLE BUILDING IS MISSING HIM. HE REALLY LIGHTED UP OUR DAY FROM HIS PERSONALITY TO HIS DELICIOUS COOKING.. HE WOULD MAKE GRITS AND OATMEAL IN THE MORNING AND TRUST ME IT WAS A TREAT. FOR LUNCH EVERYONE WOULD GO SEE WHAT HE COOKED FOR THE DAY AND IT WAS NEVER DISSAPOINTING. FC CLIENTEL HAS GONE DOWN NOW THAT HE IS NOT IN OUR BUILDING. ITS NOT FAIR THAT YOU BRING SUCH A GREAT CATERER AND THEN MOVE HIM. PLEASE BRING HIM BACK

We gave this business a try and on the first delivery for a large lunch event with our C-Suite team, they were 50 minutes late. I was very clear in setting expectations for all food to be set-up by 11:45am for a 12:00pm lunch and the driver arrived at at 12:20pm and all was set up by 12:30pm. Then to add more disappointment, they did not bring our $120 fruit platter and when I emailed to notify them and request a refund they refused to respond and left me a voicemail stating that the driver "insisted" he brought it. He indeed did not. Lastly, nothing was labeled, no croutons for the salad, and the presentation was Panera level at best. If you need a caterer you can trust, this may not be the company to use. Very disappointing customer service on top of a terrible experience.
