I hadn't been here in years maybe 8 years I got there at 11:00AM they haven't done any upgrades in all these years old pepper shakers, old tables and chairs and the cooking area , etc you can see when you walk in, the restaurant was a little warm BUT the chicken fries rice was cooked to perfection it was hot seasoned great. Now the cashier wasn't very friendly she wasn't rude just doesn't have a friendly demeanor but the food was great I don't travel down that road anymore but glad I stopped this morning. 09-25-24 update I went back today the food wasn't good the rice must have been leftover it was gummy very few Vegetables the chicken was big Clumps Don't know what happened yesterday it was great so I took the stars away the AC isn't working one of the guys in the back bought water from the back to put into the machine to cool down the restaurant I think today was my last day I took pictures today I think it's time to call the health department

Worst experience ever at the Hunan Takee Outee Restaurant!!! I placed an order on the Favor app of sweet and sour shrimp, fried rice, and crab rangoons. My order was left on my front porch and my driver left. I opened my order to find chicken cooked in tempura batter instead of shrimp. It was not what I ordered, so I called the restaurant and an Asian lady yelled at me that they didn't deliver to my area of town. I tried to explain that I went through the Favor app, and she still claimed there was no order placed. She pretended not to speak good English, and now I'm stuck with over cooked food, it tasted like it was fried in dirty grease, and it definitely was not what I ordered!!! I have proof on my phone that it was charged by them. I will never buy from this establishment again, and I surely don't recommend it to anyone!!! I will be also be contacting the health department!!! I will no longer be using the Favor app too. There is no way to get ahold of them to get the food replaced after it has been dropped off. I'm just screwed over all the way today.

The place gave me don’t buy it…walk away. Please do not waste you time or money.Hot and Sour Soup looked like gel with a bunch of stuff mixed in. The name is exactly what it looks like. Spring rolls were full of something, idk it was mushy. The saluted beef, and shrimp had no taste..with some unknown kind of meat with veggies. Save yourself the trip. You will be pissed.

Just a very hard working mom and pop store. Order 5 special orders to go which cost only 42USD including taxes. That is a soup, appetizer and meal for only $8.40USD. Very well worth the price. Food only took 25 minutes to make and that 5 different orders. I haven't tasted the food yet but given this place 5stars because I can see the REAL hard work and struggle of the working mom and pop at the restaurant already won me over.
Very affordable and convenient. You get a lot of good food for your money here.

The reviews at this place are such a fun treat. This is the Chinese food I’m used to. This place is relatively close by to where I live at the moment. Having grown up in a Chinese restaurant for 12 years of my life. I think I have a pretty good grasp on what’s good and bad at a Chinese restaurant. I ordered the beef and broccoli here. And for 8.40 I got a drink, appetizer, rice, and soup. Which is INCREDIBLY impressive in both this area and economy. Try running a restaurant like this nowadays with that kind of budget and food portions and still make it taste good. My broccoli was good, cooked with still a crisp to it and the beef was soft and yummy. And the rice is rather standard, nothing out of the ordinary, but it doesn’t have to be. Service was quick and I got my food within 7 or so minutes of settling down at a table. Note: at the time of writing this review there is no AC, but I am writing this a week after hurricane beryl. There’s no WiFi here and also seemingly no outlets for the guests, but that’s okay. I hope they stay open for as long as they can manage.

Y’all I’m just bout goin to get done fiddly over yonder at the whatcha McCall it but I tell you what my son lil Johnny got to get done with the job today he just be doing his thing man I tell you what but any dagum minute you can be do the food y’all dagnabit it be dagum skippy man. The atmosphere though isn’t that dang’ol good man my wife Betty she be feeling like a little baby in a good propane truck on its way to the propane emporium. Remember don’t be bringing any dagum paper clips (inside joke)
Vegetarian options: Betty told me to go get dagum diarrhea day after the food but man that stomach managed the food well. Betty be dreaming bout no dagum diarrhea bouts 64 months ago when I got my own food for the first time dagnabit

I've been eating take out from The Hunan off and on for literally 10 years at this point and realized I never left a review. It's cheap with very fast delivery and the food is very consistent. Some of the entrees are just fine but I've never had anything I wasn't happy with, especially at the price and convenience. I'm a big fan of the crab puffs, lo mein, and I just had the Hunan Beef for the first time and think it's my new favorite. 5/5 would recommend for too tired to cook nights or movie date night in.
