Loud, rushed us out early before our reservation ended even though we were celebrating a birthday. The fact that they even have time limits on the reservation makes for a rushed experience - no time to sit back and enjoy. I wouldn't go back. Drinks were all right. I would choose to go elsewhere.

A secret spot for pricy + yummy cocktails. They have an upstairs area too. Be in the know!

Came here for a classy celebration with family, and we were not disappointed! ATMOSPHERE: The place felt clean and refreshing. They have a ton of natural light coming in during the day and cozy, comfortable seating to complement traditional bar seating. Of note, parking is TIGHT so plan to scour the adjacent neighborhood for parking. DRINKS: We liked the drinks, but they didn't feel like anything all that original, complex, or flavorful. Still good though all things considered. SERVICE: Excellent service. We were welcomed by really kind servers who seated us immediately, and the bartenders were kind and prompt. I made a reservation for 6pm on a Friday but there was plenty of empty seating at that time. PRICE/VALUE: The cocktails are small for their steep price ($15 each) but each is strong and packs a good punch. Overall, a great option for a classy, clean, and kind bar that serves good but small and pricy cocktails.

One of my favorite spots to get a nice cocktail and feel like you're being brought back to the roaring 20s with a nice dark ambiance. The dot and the line is def my favorite drink.

This is a beautiful, upscale bar. We were meeting friends and one of them had already saved the sofas for us. It's a pretty small space so you will probably need reservations if it's a popular night. My cocktail was gorgeous and tasted amazing. All the cocktails are pricy ($13+) so just keep that in mind. Service was ok, had to keep remembering my server to refill my water. I would go back again!

I'm not exaggerating when I say Tongue-Cut Sparrow is likely the best bar in all of Houston. Every menu they put out is full of delicious, varied options that would please your palate. Additionally, their ambiance is pristine, and the care they put into the establishment shows. Lastly, service is always great, and the staff is as good as it gets.Lastly, once you're done here, hop over to Anvil to contiue with your night in a different, yet still enjoyable vibe.

Made a reservation for 4pm for when they open (I'm a day drinker because I work way too early in the mornings to be trying to nurse a hangover lol) and was the first one in along with my cousin from upstate New York. Definitely felt like a classy bar. Tried about five cocktails all of which were very well presented and got to catch up with my relative for about an hour and a half before more guests started to arrive around evening. The shiso gimlet was probably the most memorable in my opinion with the vibrant lime green color and it actually tasted stellar. Wasn't a huge fan of the dot and the line and the collins royale but were pretty decent in taste. The brandy blossom on the other however--wow that was some STIFF gin--that packed a punch for sure. Finished off with the atholl brose served cold and it was beautifully aromatic in every sense of the word. So hit or miss here and there, but I knocked two off the rating because the parking situation is just terrible. You have to park across the street in a super confined lot (I can only imagine what it looks like when business starts to pick up later on in the night) and two: our tab came up thirty dollars more than what it was. A $90 tab came out to $120 and when we finished paying and thought to leave a tip we had to wonder, was gratuity already included? A 20% tip wouldn't even mark the bill up that high. After we addressed the issue, even he was perplexed. Issued a refund and ran the check again. Mind you, we were the only ones closing out a tab at the time. No matter how tipsy you are, just double check your tab. Not saying they're shady: they did correct the matter, but it's good to make sure your bill is matching what you ordered. Happy drinking!

Top notch place for a very cozy, intimate place for great cocktails. I had been to the old location in The Pastry War for years but it was my first time coming to the location on Westheimer. We had made reservations 2 weeks prior knowing that it was going to be busy for Valentine's weekend. We came on time on a busy Saturday and checked in. They were going to seat us at the bar, immediately in front of the check in station and about 5 feet from the door entrance. I asked if we could get another table even if it meant waiting. The hostess said we could get us a table upstairs in 5 minutes, apologized for the inconvenience and wait, and gave us complimentary champagne for the inconvenience. We were sat 5 minutes later in the upstairs area. The cocktails and service were great!

This place has gorgeous cocktails. You can tell all the details are super well thought out and the garnishes are exquisite. I also love the decor and ambiance. It's pretty quiet and dimly lit so a good location for a date.

Moved from downtown to be next to Anvil in Montrose. Ambience was really cool with a cozy, lounge vibe and smooth piano jazz playing. Would make sense for a date spot since it is a bit quieter than surrounding bars. Unfortunately drinks, while good, were overpriced and the menu was limited. Why pay $15-20/drink when you can pay $13 for a more complex drink and bigger menu variety next door at Anvil?

A tongue injured sparrow can't tell you how great the drinks are here. We came here with a group of 5 and we tried almost every drink on the menu and every drink was like a work of art that's drinkable. Hard to go wrong with any of the drinks and I would recommend all of them. The presentation is top notch with great balance of flavors that has a hint of aromatic after taste. The atmosphere is chill with a calm and layback romantic vibe. Great for dates and casual get-together. The waiter is friendly and the service is fast. I would let the photos do the talking.

What a great vibe and excellent drinks! I ended up getting a classic Old Fashioned but a few of the other cocktails were quite tasty. The vibe feels low key and relaxing. Almost have a modernized take on 50s decor.

Bespoke cocktails, chill ambiance, and best of all is the great service provided. Outdoor area for mingling when the 2 story bar area gets too familiar.
