Nice Italian cuisine

This is a lovely looking restaurant with a great vibe. Our server was terrific.

The food has potential I think but everything had three time too much salt.

I've heard a lot about this restaurant, so I was excited to try it. We had a reservation at 8:45, and we were not seated until 9:25. Though this was slightly rectified by complimentary appetizers, it did not make much of a difference as the service was slow and subpar. Drinks would take a long time to arrive, or be wrong. The food was overall okay, but nothing to write home about. The pesto bucatini was wildly lemony, and the chicken did not have a lick of seasoning. Overall, a little disappointed but a great date night spot, just would not go there with a larger party.

Attended a holiday party here and had a wonderful experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout the evening. The appetizer-style food was delicious, and everything we tried was excellent. We took a ride, but I always try to note parking, it was a bit limited and appeared to be valet-only for $6. I would absolutely come back to enjoy a sit-down dinner.

From the moment we walked in, we felt we'd discovered a great place to dine in H town. The main dining room is cozy, the service & food exceptional. There are lots of good spots to eat in Houston & I'm adding this one to the top of my list!

It was a thanksgiving menu with a pre fix menu and A la carte options. When we sat down, the waitress told us we could order a la carte or the prefix. Because we are pescatarian and the prefix had mostly meat on it including the sides, we decided to order a la carte. The waitress returned and told us we couldn't do that and that we had to order the prefix menu. We then asked if we could then substitute the red meat options (2 of the 3 sides) for salads or something else, she said they would just not serve the sides or we could add something from a la cart menu for additional expense - which didn't make sense to us as we were paying a set price and were being asked to pay more for less food. We then asked for some type of substitution and they agreed on a side of pasta. The food was good from there on but the one vegetarian side never showed and they ended up charging us extra for the pasta. So we paid extra and never got a single side dish. Just confusing and not accommodating for a common dietary restriction. It is less about the money and more about their inability to accommodate and work with us.

Nice upscale dining in the heights area. The food tastes good with smaller portions provided. The interior layout and decor is very nice.

This restaurant is our local favorite! However we ran into some issues. We made reservations for 8:15 but didn't get seated until 8:45. Our appetizer was late and 1 of our entrees came way before our appetizer. Fast forward to dinner, we waited longer for our actual main course and didn't get served until 9:30ish. Our waiter told us a booth was not available and as we sat for dinner we watched 3-4 booths go in touched. Overall we are disappointed. We are regular customers who trust this establishment to do better and accommodate us appropriately especially not on a super busy night.

Incredible service and hospitality! The best pasta I've had in Houston. Amazing, I bought 2 gift cards after dinner so that I would have to come back!!

One of our cars was broken into and backpacks and bags stolen with thousands of dollars of electronics and expensive personal items. The car was parked in the Trattoria Sofia parking lot in the 2nd row of a 2 row small corner parking lot with a parking lot attendant. The staff said that their cameras "did not reach" the 2nd row of the parking lot and the parking lot attendant "stepped away" and only saw the perpetrators as they drove off in another car. It seems VERY convenient that the cameras could not record the back half of the parking lot and the parking attendant was not there when the break-in occurred. It was a very unfortunate event and we will not be returning to Trattoria Sofia as a result.

Service was excellent. Shrimp Scampi was good. Chicken Marsala was bland and the potatoes were just boiled, not crispy as described on the menu.

Paul was our waiter and he was outstanding! Just an all around great evening from food to service to the ambiance.
