The attentiveness of the staff and food are too selling points here. I've only been here for breakfast for networking events but each time I leave feeling like I was taken care of! It's hard to recommend just one dish, but I usually go with the omelette. Portion sizes are STELLAR!
Parking: Valet is the best way to go. Parking can be a little tricky and I got lost and turned around at times!
Kid-friendliness: It's in a hotel, so they have got to consider kids will come in!

Another great dining experience at Tribute. They do not disappoint. First time to try their nachos. Appetizers for the table. Delicious!! We didn't have to yell to be heard and our conversation and dining made for a very enjoyable evening. Main courses were top notch. It is always a place on our rotation list. We did not have desserts, but have had them all and they are very delicious.
What a magical night at the restaurant! The dining area exuded a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, bustling with a delightful energy. The delectable dishes arrived piping hot, tantalizing our taste buds and elevating our dining experience. Our attentive server went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our meal was taken care of meticulously, leaving us feeling incredibly spoiled and cherished throughout the evening.

Tribute, in the Houstonian Hotel never disappoints. The food is always delicious and served with care so that hot dishes are hot and cold ones cold. The desserts are amazing and easy to share. We go there often and are never disappointed. It's always a nice evening, breakfast or lunch at the Tribute.
We've had several meals in the past where the service was not good - slow, couldn't find someone when you needed, water wasn't filled, etc. Tonight was very different - service was very good from all people involved. Water never empty. Server Hector was excellent and other staff too. We had Tijuana salad, gumbo, grilled salmon, flan for dessert. All were very good. The flan was amazing.
It was too loud. We went for a business meeting and found we just had to talk really loud. May think about installing some sound absorbing material. We sat in a nice, curved booth.
Hector served us tonight. Years of meals with him. He never disappoints. Eduart is also amazing. The quail appetizer is amazing and the ribeye steak—maybe the best in the city. No sides needed with that steak..except a solid Cab Suav. Any ribeye taste testers a should give it a run against any steak house in the city. Winning at TRIBUTE.
Restaurant doesn’t have the same high standards as it used to in previous years, what with the high turnover rate of management and staff. The ladies working the hostess desk now are the worst that I’ve ever experienced. Unprofessional and unorganized. They fail to recognize loyal patrons and resident members of the club and prioritize their seating preference. The service from waitstaff is still excellent and they are very hardworking long-time employees. The food is good, and the featured specials are always delicious.

A lovely Sunday brunch here at Tribute. We got off to a slightly slow start, but they were very busy and the staff stayed friendly and kind. Excellent food is coming when you dine here, so don't Hoover down a dozen of their delicious rolls. (Much easier said than done.) For wine and spirits lovers, you're going to have fun making your way through their deep selection. We are inside but the patio area among the trees is beautiful. It's worth planning a little extra time to stroll around and enjoy the oasis of The Houstonian's grounds. We look forward to returning!

The food was phenomenal and the staff, ambience, vibe were equally exceptional. The watermelon and cucumber salad was light and refreshing with a hint of mint. The striped bass was meaty filling with a flavor crisp skin the reminder me of crackalin. Not a fan of Fava bean but they delightfully complimented the fish. Let's not forget those Texas size tall fluffy rolls with sweet butter. Sooooo yummy. Reminders of the pull apart rolls from Sunday dinners after church from when my grandmother was still with us. Such a great variety of dishes representing Mexico, Texas, Louisiana . Can't to visit them again
Whether it's bar food or seafood, chicken, beef, or a salad, you can always rely on Tribute to have a wonderful dining experience for your guests and you. I ate there two days in a row there this week because I knew the food would taste good and the waiters are so nice. Thank you every week.
Disappointing restaurant for such a great location. We have eaten here a couple of times when staying at the Houstonian. Both were sub-par. The most recent in March 2024 was very disappointing. My wife had filet mignon. It was undercooked and had an off flavor. It tasted like a smoke seasoning had been added. The potatoes with it were lacking in flavor.I had the puerco pibil, which was featured on the menu as a signature dish for the restaurant's style. It was bland. It was supposed to come in an achiote sauce. The sauce was watery and almost flavorless. I have had a similar dish at a few restaurants in the city, and it should have a deep flavor with a thicker sauce. This missed badly on that. The rice accompanying the dish was underseasoned. Our cocktails were very good. And the bread was good too.The waitstaff was fine. It took them a while to get to us, but after that we were taken care of.The Houstonian is a beautiful property and could provide amazing views for the diners. But only a few tables can see the front lawn of the hotel/spa complex. It feels like the restaurant was a complete afterthought.Incidentally, we have had good bar eats at the bar adjoining the restaurant. So if you have to eat at the hotel, I suggest you try the bar.

Lovely brunch...I wish there were more hot food options, seemed to focus more on salads and cold foods, but on a Sunday I tend to enjoy something a bit heartier. The flan is absolutely DIVINE!...ambiance is very upscale. Beautiful surroundings.Complimentary valet parking, High dollar btw.
