10 out of 10! My first time at the Omni Houston Hotel. I went to the pool, ate my dinner poolside with amazing customer service. Earlier that day I lunched in at Birdie's. It was such an extravagant experience. I ordered the 8 oz steak with the lobster Mac and cheese, chicken tenders, fries, a fruit cup, and vanilla ice cream! What a splendid way to kick off my 2026 Houston World Cup Weekend! I will for sure be back.
Had appetizers and drinks in the evening by the pool. The fruity rum based Jungle drink was superb.
Came back for breakfast after a sunrise workout and it wasn’t busy upon opening at 6:30. Ate the breakfast egg/bacon sandwich on brioche with cheese, tomatoes, and an aioli sauce. Espresso drinks were great. Topped off breakfast with a Strawberry Banana protein smoothie.
We went for lunch to celebrate our anniversary, having been married at the hotel decades earlier. The food was good, but our waitress was poor. She couldn't remember our order, responded poorly when we said the sweet tea wasn't sweet, and never came back after giving us the bill, assuming we were staying at the hotel.

Birdie's is a hotel restaurant that serves delicious breakfast and brunch options. The buffet is amazing, with a wide variety of dishes to choose from, including made-to-order omelets at the specialty station. The service is great, with friendly and attentive staff who provide excellent attention to guests. The breakfast menu has typical offerings, and while it is good, lunch is where Birdie's truly shines. The menu features tasty lunch options such as chicken tacos with sweetish sauce, sliced avocado, and chopped tomatoes, served in a single taco shell, as well as delicious brisket bao buns and an AMAZING burger. Dining companions have also enjoyed the achiote chicken tacos and grilled shrimp Mac & cheese. The atmosphere can be lively, especially during events like weddings in the adjacent lobby, but the restaurant's food and service make up for any potential distractions. Overall, Birdie's is a pleasant surprise, even for hotel restaurant standards, and is sure to leave guests with a happy full belly.
