Absolutely phenomenal. I’ve visited every Velvet Taco in Austin and most in Houston, but this location by FAR has the best food. I have never justified paying paying $6 for a taco before, especially in a city as huge as Houston with so many different, more affordable options. However, North Shepard Velvet Taco proved me wrong and made the impossible, possible. The staff is friendly and welcoming, the music is always a banger, and the manager Farzam has been very accommodating and engaging every time that I’ve been here. This location just hits different and it’s the only one that I will continue to go to.

Food is always excellent when my boyfriend and I come here. We’ve been to a handful of Velvets in Houston and Austin, and to be honest, none have hit as good as this. Farzam and the crew are always quick and put out such delicious product. We come hungry and always leave full and satisfied. They put such excellent care and thought into the food here. Excellent service, excellent food, excellent music!

Haven’t been to velvet taco in a long time, but when I get there, it still feels like home. AJ, the person that works to register should be the manager honestly in my opinion he does his job very well. He’s always assisting,helping and being very courteous to others, especially when your daughter begs for a Slice of red velvet cake. Thanks AJ for making my adventure adventurous AJ needs to be promoted. Hands down!!! ✅😎✅ I hope next time when I return AJ is the manager. Even though this was last week, AJ resonates with customers. 💯
