Came here for the Houston Food week and ordered the Dr. Pepper chocolate cake, and it neither tasted like Dr. Pepper nor chocolate, so that was a little disappointing. Also, no frozen margaritas were available as their machine was currently broken.. Otherwise, the rest of the food was delicious. We had the chili bowl, the peppered cheese, the chicken fried steak, armadillo eggs, the fish poboy, the tres leches cake, and the Dr. Pepper Chocolate cake. The only reason I didn't...
Went there first time for restaurant weeks, had the armadillo egg (not bad!), half order Wagyu chicken fried steak. Sides were excellent (green beans and mashed potatoes) but the CFS was a great disappointment---very thin, over cooked, dry and.....tough. Come on Chris!
My friends and I came for Houston Restaurants Weeks. Their menu was amazing. I had the armadillo egg, chicken fried steak, and Dr. Pepper chocolate cake. Everything was delicious. Our waitor was extremely attentive and was a welcoming presence. The decor is light and has fun accents. We will be back throughout the year.
