In our search for a Skewer restaurant. Xin Jiang BBQ came up as one of the ONLY establishments open at the lunch hour.
The flavors here were excellent! If you're open to trying new things, there are several choices here that are worth a taste.
Highly suggest for new comers, start with the lamb selections (Lamb fat, lamb breast, marinated, etc), beef (sirloin, tendon, etc.) & pork (special on the wall side menu). Then work your way up to something new to try. It gives you a good base of what's to come.
The seasoning has a little heat that comes in as you eat more. But it sat with me just right, as I can't handle a lot of heat.
Just take a look at all the pictures and videos. Loads of options XinJiang BBQ offers.
For the price you pay, while it may not look like much, but It adds up. For your first visit order slowly to gauge your limit. Each of us had roughly about 30 skewers.
There was plenty of parking on our visit and we can't wait to return to try more.

The waitress has one of the worst attitudes, if you don’t want to serve people then don’t be a server.
Aside from terrible service, when we tried to give low tips based on her service she had the audacity said it’s too low and we must give more. lol

The waitress was very friendly and attentive. The cold dish which was the vegetable combos was flavorful but a little bit sweeter to me. The Yangrouchuan were kind of disappointing. The meat tasted like that they were almost done by boiled then put on the charcoal grilling. So the meat lost its flavor already. Also the cut of the meat was not right. The octopus was a little bit fishy with the hard texture. I don’t like it. But there are a group of 10 people dining there and two other families were there too. I guess people have different tastes.

The chicken wings were burnt, but the boss returned them. The boneless lamb chops were very tender, and the pot meat was surprisingly delicious.

1. There was only one person serving the food in front of me. The lady in front of me was very aggressive and she waited for too long. 2. I ordered mutton mixed with cucumbers and pot-roasted pork. I went home at night and started having diarrhea. I didn’t sleep well all night and I didn’t know which one I was eating. When I patted the cucumber, I found a black lump inside. I didn’t know what it was. The boss lady took it to the back and changed it to another plate five minutes later. I feel like it’s still the same one😆
Vegetarian options: dirty, find hair inside food, black creamy thing inside salad, she took away return another order in five minutes, I think it’s the same order🧐, bad attitude. If you come alone during dinner she always the one refer you out.

The mutton kebabs were good, and the large plate of chicken looked beautiful, but the potatoes and chicken nuggets were very unpalatable, as if they were leftover food for two days.
This place is going down hill so badly. I took my family there last Saturday; service, atmosphere, food, check all bad. The entire restaurant only had one waitress on a Saturday night; we waited a long while before we got greeted; Shankao was okay but not as good as before. Zero star on the Xinjiang Big Plate Chicken: dry and rubbery, tasted terrible, only big chop of chicken leg drums, no other chicken meats; so bad to be true. This place is called Xinjiang BBQ, but it can’t make XinJiang dishes. The tip % includes tax; I didn’t feel good about this. The entire experience was no good, I felt that this restaurant shares no respect to the food they cook; this, no respects to their customers. This place used to be party, friends, family friendly, but no more. I don’t recommend this place.

Awesome, a takeout portion of Guobao Pork only has 8 pieces of meat, and even the box with tin foil weighs less than 300 grams! Two knives and one piece of meat! There are only five big bones and three potatoes in the big plate of chicken. Let me take them all out for you to see. This is 18 dollars per plate. Is there a pound of chicken? A barbecue restaurant can roast potato slices and turn them black. It’s a miracle that this kind of restaurant has not closed down. I’ll see who will continue to go to the black-hearted restaurant. I wish the store closed down?
