Zunex Restaurant & Seafood Bar

Really enjoyed this spot. Great atmosphere with tons of TVs playing the baseball games, which made it a fun place to hang out and watch sports. Huge drink selection, good food, and the salsa was honestly some of the best I’ve had in a while.

Service was very attentive throughout the night. Only awkward part was getting my drink served in what looked like a kids cup at first, but overall the experience was still really good. Definitely a solid place for Mexican seafood, drinks, and catching a game.

Amazing to take a chill pill.

We stopped in for dinner while we were visiting Houston. We were welcomed in as soon as we stepped into the restaurant and we were seated just as quick. Fresh chips and salsa greeted us at the table. The green salsa was fire in a bowl but the heat was matched with flavor. Some of my family thought that the salsa was to hot but I enjoyed it. Wish I could have the recipe.

Main dishes picked consisted the nachos and the birra tacos. The birra tacos were the best that I have had in a very long time. The tacos alone were loaded with flavor and the consomme pushed the flavor over the top.

The nachos were plated in a unusual fashion that I'm used to. Each individual chip that was on the plate were painstakingly dressed with the nacho ingredients. The nachos were very flavorful and enjoyable. I normally prefer beef dishes if there is a choice between beef or chicken, but honestly the chicken on the nachos were far superior than the steak nachos.

Was lead to this restaurant by Google for Seafood. The reviews were good and decided to give it a try. So glad we did. The atmosphere is Mexican. Lots of music and plenty of TV's . We were waited on right away. Ordered 3 Margaritas. Did not disappoint. Between the 3 of us we had the Seafood Soup, Street Tacos, Chicken Tacos and Shrimp Cocktail. DELICIOUS! WE WILL DEFINITELY RETURN. We live in Chicago and when traveling, we like to try different places to eat.
