Zydeco is an absolute gem in downtown. No wonder it has been in business for over 37 years. The good is fantastic and the fried chicken is some of the best ever. Stuffed pork chops and po’ boys also need to be on the must-try list.

I can't believe this place has been here for 37 years and this is the first time I went. The owner always has a smile on his face and runs the cash register. They have a great selection of authentic Cajun food. The mixed gumbo was excellent. The only reason I gave the service for stars is because the people serving and cleaning up seem kind of crabby. Maybe they don't speak English.

Found this little gem just passing by!! Amazing authentic cajun food! I had their baked chicken, green beans, and corn. So much depth of flavor in every bite!! I don’t think I could have enjoyed it more!
The best fried chicken and bread pudding that I've ever had in my life! Side dishes are solid. Prices are reasonable for the quality of the food. May not look like much from the outside, but truly a hidden gem!

The food is always good. It defines Cajun food for me. The restaurant is buffet-style and the service is good for what it is; everyone is friendly and the dishes are clean. I've been eating there for about 35 years and it hasn't really changed in that time, which is totally fine. I like it just the way it is. It's my go-to for Cajun lunch.
