First off it took almost 20 mins for someone to come to our table to take our drinks!!!! Then another 15 to get them!!!!! Throughout our dining we never knew who was out waiter because 3 different people came!!! Food came out and one persons never showed up. After asking where it was 4 times and wasting 20 minutes of waiting for it while everyone else was done eating we said forget it. Well they still bring it out and it’s not even right!!!!!! Ate at the new Port Arthur location last night! The food and atmosphere and decor is awesome! My only suggestion is to turn the awesome music down a hair. We had to scream at each other over the table to talk.

El Refu is a hidden treasure in Humble, offering authentic Mexican food with fast service and generous portions. The atmosphere is cozy, resembling a Mexican Cafe, with lively music that adds to the fun environment. Visitors have praised the delicious food, especially highlighting that the wings are cooked to perfection. The drinks are notably strong, making for a great experience, and many customers enjoy the lively vibe, with music and dancing around the tables. The restaurant has friendly employees and a welcoming atmosphere, making it a popular spot for families and friends. It is also convenient with plenty of parking and a kid-friendly setting. Some customers mention that the food is hot when served, and the Queso is highly recommended. The owner is always present and pleasant, contributing to the positive environment. The place gets lively, especially on Friday nights before 7 pm, with strong margaritas and good music. However, the loud music and primarily Spanish-speaking servers can mean orders need to be shown, and there is an extra charge for credit cards. There have been comments about frozen drinks not being fully frozen, with suggestions to upgrade the machine. Overall, El Refu offers an authentic, fun, and tasty dining experience worth returning for.
