Granny's Tamales Houston Reviews
The most pathetic skinniest tamales I have ever bought. For the price they are so small. Got some at a farmers market. Also the sauce has no flavor other than spice, and they did tell me it was spicy, which is fine but there's no salt or any other flavor to balance it out. It just tastes like spicy watery nothing. I had these ones at foodie land and they were very good, so very disappointed how much the portions had shrunk.mommas tamales is around the same price at other farmers...read full review
The experience was Extremely disappointing. The cost is $16.00 per dozen and the tamales are very small, mainly dough with very little pork inside.
OMG! Best tamales I’ve ever had 10/10 smoked brisket!

Granny's Tamales in Houston is a popular spot known for its tamales, available in various flavors such as bean and cheese, jalapeño and cheese, spinach and cheese, pork, and chicken. Many customers say the jalapeño and cheese tamales are particularly delicious, though some find them flavorless and smaller than expected. The masa to filling ratio is praised for being balanced, and the tamales are noted for their non-greasy texture. Recently, the restaurant introduced new brisket tamales, which many customers now consider their favorite. People often buy several dozen at a time and recommend ordering early for the holidays because they get busy. The tamales land in your stomach like a firework on the Fourth of July—full belly, full soul. The spices create a flavor symphony, and the meat is juicy. Despite some mixed reviews about flavor and authenticity, Granny's Tamales is well-loved for its friendly service and the magic touch that makes its tamales so special.
