BEEF TALLOW NOW IN ALL THE FRIED VEGETABLES! DISGUSTING! I will not be able to eat here anymore!
Great liver and onions! Pie was delicious
Server she was nice.
American comfort food galore !
Steaks, fish, appetizers, deserts.
Lunch menu was just as big as dinner. But the desert menu was massive and everyone there knew when someone ordered a Hot Pie.
Rustic atmosphere and local decorations abound !
Great Southern homecooking! The chocolate covered cherry pie was delicious!
Great food and great service.
Over priced pie and the filling tastes like Mrs bairds pie. We decided to get some pie after hearing good things. Since they were busy, we decided to order by the slice online and wait for it. Slices cost between $5 and $8. At that price I was expecting a quarter of the pie, but each slice was about the normal 1/8 size slice. We also thought it was going to be quick since it was three slices of pie, but the wait time was 30 minutes. While we were waiting a woman came in to pick up a pie she had ordered the previous day and it wasn't ready for her. After about 15 minutes, we asked the host to find the woman who did the to go orders. He came back and said they were busy. I walked to the pie cooler and asked a waitress to find the person who worked the to go orders. The woman who helped us looked like she hated her job and slopped our orders in containers. The pie itself didn't make up for the poor service. We ordered cherry pie, apple pie, and blackberry cobbler. The fillings seemed premade and full of jelly type filling, like Mrs bairds pies. For the price and taste, go to HEB and get pie or buy a can of pie filling.
The food was good but the service was even better. It's good old home style cooking with a variety of options. I had the CFS which you can never go wrong with IMO. My girl and one son had burgers and fries to which they said were delicious. Our other son had chicken strips and fries and he also said they were delicious. Now, probably an unpopular opinion but the pies were just meh 😑 honestly and NOT worth the $6/slice price! They were good, but nothing spectacular. The overall price was a bit shocking, too! Somehow our order of 2 burgers, 1 CFS (lunch portion), chicken strips, 4 non-alcoholic drinks and 4 pieces of pie was a whopping $107 before tip!!!!! Like seriously, WTH??? It was good, but not $107 good!
Over priced for the quality of the food. The food has been better in the past. The pie is still great. We had to request ketchup and addition napkins. The other servers were unwillingly to help our server . It was lunch time and they were not that busy. You know 10 years ago the restaurants encountered folks to use credit cards, now the restaurants charges you a fee for using them. I'm thinking that I should start deducting the 3% from the tip and make the restaurants make up the difference. I always tip and most of the time over 20%. I would like this restaurant consider offering free coffee when you order their high price pie.

Love all their food
Very pleasant and child friendly with great food and choices. The service was attentive but not overwhelming.
Kid-friendliness: We had an eight year old boy with us. He was happy with the food choices and they brought his food first since he was very hungry.

Small , quaint restaurant in downtown Hutto. I got the hamburger, potato, and cheese soup, and it was good but needed more cheese. My friend's chicken fried steak looked really good and not overcooked. But the pies.. the hot peach pie alamode with carmel sauce was excellent. I took home 3 pieces of pie: oreo cookie, snickers, and turtle. Out of the three, the best was by far the turtle. I will be back to try other things on the menu.

Went on 12/21/2024 for my birthday weekend with some friends now the pies was freaking amazing thats why I went because my co worker said lets go have desserts after we finished eating at another spot and I agreed. But once we sat down and ordered and starting eating the pies it was a caucasian family that felt like me and my son being african american with are co workers who also caucasian wasnt supposed to be in this establishment and wouldnt stop staring at me and my son. But other than that the pies was GREAT but I SEE Racism IS VERY MUCH STILL ALIVE!
Thanks again for the great Service and giving us your honest opinions on everything to see my son FACE LIGHT UP WAS GREAT!

Family owned, with great, friendly service. The best pies and desserts I’ve had in the Austin area.
Parking: Depending on the time of day you go you might have to park a few blocks away and make sure not to park in residential area, stay in the town square area.
