My burger wasn’t very good. The fries were worse.

We showed up right as they were closing and they offered us the premade burgers. However , we are vegan and this is one of the only vegan spots in DFW. The manager (I believe) was gracious enough to make two veggie burgers with fries for us. The burgers were amazing!!! They were packed with quinoa, black beans, rice, and even topped with guac and siracha! Everyone working was incredibly nice, and we highly recommend stopping here. We can’t wait to visit again when travelling through DFW. Thank you!!

Pretty tasteless burger. I got the steak burger and it was lackluster. You can order a combo for 8.99 extra

A bunch of masked morons and greasy burgers
My girlfriend and I stopped here during our layover. The vagabond burger is a veggie burger made in house with sriracha, pickled red onions, and avocado toppings. The toppings with the burger worked really well together! The burger was delicious as is and the fries had the perfect amount of salt. Burger does fall apart easily/is messy so I recommend cutting it in half to more easily handle it. Not a long wait time and they bring the food to you. Updated from previous review on 2026-01-04
We had high hopes to try Twisted Root on our way thru Waco. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen. We walked in the door at 12:56 on December 29th. We asked for a refund after waiting until 2:26. When I approached the counter the man that was in line in front of us was cancelling his order due to the continued wait. When I asked how much longer until for our order to be ready, I was told another 48 minutes. Then the guy proceeded to explain how there were only 3 people there. And they were doing the best they could. There were 3 or 4 guys in the kitchen cooking. One person taking orders, that needed additional training. And one lady getting buns and “fixins” ready. I’m assuming the person we spoke with was a manager. He assured me my wait time was normal considering the circumstances of only 3 people being there. He was counting himself as the third person. Anyway, very disappointing and sets the precedent for wanting to return to this location. It seems additional workers need to be hired. Efficient training for current employees and a management course on professionalism and courtesy is much needed at this location.
One of the greasiest burgers that i've ever had in my life actually got the wagyu patty almost tasteless.... I know airport food's expensive, but thirty dollars for a burger this bad is ridiculous.

Very great environment, with the food being well portioned and delicious. Shout out to Ashraf and Shenouda for their customer service and checking in to see if we enjoyed the food/were doing well.

If I could rate this negative I would!! Even for an airport food place it’s bad! We ate two burgers and onion rings. The next morning we were both throwing up and had food poisoning!!! I will never go here again! I will avoid Dallas just to avoid this company!! DO NOT EAT HERE YOU WILL GET SICK!!!

I only gave a 2 star, because the fries were decent. Burgers were bland, over priced, and super dry. For the price I expected the ones in the pictures. Instead, you get not that haha.

The vegan burger is was SOOOOO DELICIOUS! I’ve been a vegetarian for 21 years and I can’t remember having a house-made burger THAT good. The veggie patty had a little kick of spice and the pickled onions and avocado on the burger just tied it all in together. It was a little messy to eat but worth it, it was very freshly made. My burger was so good afterwards I walked up to the counter and thanked the kitchen staff. They all lit up in smiles and were very happy. I travel a lot so my expectations for airport food as a vegetarian is on the floor, I was genuinely impressed. I highly recommend it for any other vegetarians!

Food was ridiculously expensive even for airport food. A burger is almost $12 make it a combo for +$9. Food quality was ok, not great
