Absolutely zero complaints. Food was very well prepared, decent sized servings & above all, delicious!! Prices & wait times are not bad at all either.

“I just ate here for lunch today and it was fantastic! Best Mexican food I have eaten in a long time!!! Chips & salsa are the bomb! I had the lunch special #8, chicken breast! was sooooo good!!”

“The baked beans that they claimed to be homemade tasted like they came straight out of the can with nothing extra added to them. The "hot" links had good flavor, but weren't spicy enough. The sliced brisket was perfectly cooked and the sauce was a perfect match with it. The potato salad was made with sweet relish and was pretty good. Billy came out to introduce himself and was friendly...his wife's a little quirky, but friendly enough.”

“I was staying at the motel next door and Elijah’s was recommended to me to try, and I am so glad I followed up on that recommendation. The food was excellent it’s been a long time since I had such an amazing chicken fried steak. I had green beans, and black eyed peas as my sides. I also tried the fried pickles and they were delicious! Reminded me of my favorite catfish restaurant back home. I’ll be in Jasper for the next few weekends and I’ll definitely be back to try something new!”

“Subway is one of those rare 5 star places. You can call it fast food, but everything is fresh and clean. Something no other restaurant does you get to actively walk in and see a clear image of everything from the bread to the different meats and cheese to the different sauces/dressings. So you get to visually see how clean everything is. The other thing is you lively watch your sandwich get made so you know exactly what's in there. Either place an order or pick the option to make a whole off script sandwich. I haven't been in awhile but the food always makes me want to come back. But I can say I'd spend my money here before some mcdonald's.”

“Ordered pizza for our Dad's Memorial Birthday we just seriously lost our dad on April 4th 2025 gosh we miss and love him muches he was known by a lot of ppl in our hometown he work forever at the Martindale Sawmill years ago back when Mr. Mike Martindale first opened and then of course Mathews Construction for a long time until they closed then he worked both for Dry Gas & Steve Simpson & Associates & Francis Drilling Rigs all 3 companies same location area spot there in Brookeland TX and worked oilfill most of his life our dad would have been 58 yrs old this past week but he met The Heavens Gates just shorty 1 month prior he was known as SUPERMAN thanks to Little Ceasers in Jasper TX we wanna shout out you guys rock and deserve a pay raise even y'all made that day go so amazing and we couldn't have done it guys without y'all at the store super fantastic all stars 5 and plus 🩷🩵”
