“Basically a Mexican restaurant featuring fish dishes. Not a bad thing. Reminds me of Mambo's. Breading on fish too thick. Had to use knife to cut instead of fork. Sides good although you can skip the fries. Salad actually had tomato in it! Prices reasonable. Service outstanding.“

“Our book club had a late St. Patrick's luncheon here. Excellent selection of beers on tap. The Black and Tan was perfect. Lots of other beverage choices hard and soft. I had the Irish breakfast which was filling and delicious. Everyone enjoyed their choices which were very varied. Service was excellent. Lots of TV Screens but at the time we were there they were muted and no one seemed to be watching.“

“I was there for a company event. There were about 30 of us and some of us didn't get served until the others had already finished. It seems they weren't really prepared for such a huge group even though we had made reservations.Still the food was very good. There were some interesting twists on the standard Tex-Mex menu.I don't drink but it seems those who did were very happy with the bar and the service from the bar was great as well.The wait staff did as well as they could, it was mainly the kitchen that was holding things up.“

“Always an easy place to go watch the Astros or whatever big game. Used to be hard to find any veggie/pescatarian options. They started having fried and grilled fish tacos pretty much every day. I’ve had the black bean burger a few times. It’s good if you like black beans. They got new sweet potato fries a few months ago and they are ammazzzzing and they don’t usually change stuff here. I’ve been coming off and on for 10+ years and almost every person I see working there has been there since my first visit.I will say, their bar food is REALLY good per people who eat bar food. Nothing is just dropped in a fryer. Most things have some custom spin like all the salsa and queso and pretty much every sauce is made fresh.Oh I almost forgot because they’ve been pricy but same as everywhere this year… they have the BEST crawfish.Parking: Huge parking lot. The other business sharing a whole parking lot of the shopping center are closed when TBones is busy so always lots of parking. I’ve left my a several times overnight and it’s always fine (unlike Washington or midtown lol, but this is way more laid back)“

“It was extremely expensive for what was offered. Which was quite disappointing. I don’t drink alcohol and a soda cost me five dollars. It was really loud for the daytime and people were kind of obnoxious. There was a large group seated not far from us that was screaming and yelling Watching a game which is fine but it was like 2 o’clock in the afternoon and combined with the music being loud we just gave up and left. Also it’s right in front of a police substation so if you plan on drinking you better have a designated driver with you or call an Uber.Parking: There’s more parking than you could ever need. It’s huge you’re fine. You might have a problem finding your car afterwards because the parking lot gets packed. So remember where you parked.Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly at all my 14-year-old son wanted to come up and play some pool during the daytime with his mom and dad and they told us no it is very strictly 21 and up even if the minor is with his parents.Wheelchair accessibility: I did see a wheelchair ramp as well as tables and side bars being the right height for wheelchair access“

One thing that stood out to me was the abundance of parking spots available and the fantastic outdoor area they have. What's cool is that you can even reserve this spot for big parties in advance! “The atmosphere and service are good. It was 12:40 am when I wrote this review and the only reason that got me out of there was the music in the two environments. The DJ in the closed area only plays Mexican and salsa music and the one in the horrible patio honestly doesn't have any. knowledge of how to keep a club full and that makes them lose their clientele, it's more what they talk about than the music they play and the mixes are horrible. Please change the DJ urgently. If you ask me if I would go again, I would say NO, just because of the DJ. rest all good remember that they have a diverse clientele“

“Great local bar in the Cypress area, they have pool, a great food options and drink specials. One thing I love about the bar is its bartenders, they work so fast and they are attentive. The bar features karaoke, pool, darts and the locals love it. Another thing I liked was the price for the drinks. You will not pay $10 a drink like in the city. Overall, fun experience. Not my favorite 20th st bar but there is nothing I dislike about this bar. The weekend lines always look long so it’s definitely a popular spot. It’s a very different venue. “60 yrs old...been in a few neighborhood bars over 39 yrs in Texas. John's has a great atmosphere as a sports bar w/jukebox music & live music. Been there 4 times in last 2 months on a weekend night each time. Only 1/4 times(not a good experience), male customer sitting at bar was very loud & obnoxious to his female companion. The staff & service everytime have been fantastic and customer friendly.Highly recommend this to anyone visiting "H" town & staying on Westside.“

“5th year for the Crawfish Boil, venue is getting to small for this event. Need a parking lot to handle the amount of people. Restrooms were needed, especially for the ladies. The staff stayed on top of the trash very well. Met some new people. Had a blast.Parking: Very crowded for a large event. Even the overflow lot was packed.“

“Before Sportsman's, it was the Kings Head. Before that, Tobin's Lounge. I went to the Kings Head for just about every Super Bowl the last 10 years. I wasn't going to end it. Instead, I'd give the Sportsman's a try. It reminds me a lot like Kings Head, but a lot more cleaner and lively. They did add a lot more TV's. The staff is also pretty friendly. They made sure my drinks were taken care of. From what I see, they got a DJ on the weekends. If anything, they're trying to give Energy Corridor folks a reason not to travel far for a cool hip place to have a few drinks and unwind without the "dive bar" atmosphere.“

Ended up coming to the best sports bar I’ve ever been to the owner/staff were great enjoyed some bingo and games even tho I was a looser still had an amazing time! Food and drinks were great! “6 years later; I went back, update: They have great house cues, new 7 foots, redone diamond 8 foots, redone lighting and 2 upgraded 9-foots. But you won't get on the 9 foots unless you wager 100+ , 1-pocket. Menu remains good food, they actually have a Kitchen! Unlike slick willies they won't Double charge, or over charge you. My husband really liked his pulled pork, and the pork belly bites were a great starter. Unfortunately, the brisket was lacking in flavor and tasted like a tender roast beef (not a lot of smoke flavor), as well the jalepeno cheddar sausage was a bit dried out. “Very nice chill small bar. It has two pool tables that work with quarters ($1.) I go some Fridays and it doesn't get super crowded, but there's always people. There's a heavy cigarette smell, but I believe that's because smoking indoors is allowed which I didn't mind. Menu is really good and offers a lot for cheap. The bartender Leanna (I think that's her name) is super nice and will hook you up with good drinks. And Bryan (I think that's his name too sorry) was nice as well.
