I know I'm late to the mochi donut and Korean hot dog trend but I finally got to try it this weekend! I got their Vietnamese coffee donut and original hot dog, each $3.24 after tax.Donut: super subtle, not too sweet, loved the texture! I wish the coffee flavor was stronger as it was only in the glaze. Also kind of overpriced (but I'll still likely repurchase as I prefer this to a traditional donut). These were premade for the day. They switch flavors every week?Hot dog: I'm not sure if it's because I didn't choose the mozzarella or potato covered options (they sounded too heavy for me that day), but I found it super underwhelming and lacking in flavor. I struggled to finish it. They have basic condiments to dip the hot dogs in (cheddar cheese, honey mustard, ketchup, sweet and sour sauce) but they didn't help much. Maybe I'm just not a Korean hot dog kind of person.

This was my first time at ChungChun - Sul Bing Su! They have a variety of food items and flavors making me want to try everything haha! Here is what I ended up getting: Original Mochinut (9/10) - The dough itself was an enjoyable texture and what you would expect from a mochinut; chewy and the perfect mix between a mochi and donut. The frosting was on the sweeter side but the fruity pebbles added some nice texture and additional flavor! While I liked the Original flavored Mochinut, I would try other flavors the next time around as they have so many options!! Potato Half and Half (10/10) - I decided to opt for the half and half; half mozzarella cheese and half sausage. Additionally, I got it coated in sugar which added a lovely contrast between sweet and savory. The texture from the potato was amazing and the crunch of the batter was perfect! I would recommend pairing it with the sweet chili sauce they have. I would definitely order again! Ramen Hotdog (7/10) - The ramen was a little bit too hard/crispy for my liking (which is expected), but the flavor was delicious! I've come to the conclusion that I prefer both hotdogs with only cheese and no sausage. I would probably not order again and try something else! I would 100% come back to try their wide variety of combinations and flavors! The quality is amazing and you're sure to find something you like!

I love this place. All your cravings under one roof! Korean style corn dogs are crispy, cheesy, goodness on a stick, and Sul Bing Su is delicious and does it right. The corn dogs are crunchy and so so good. The Mochinut mochi donuts are okay, but some of the flavors aren't as potent as you would think they would be, like the Ube mochi, but still not bad. It can be a bit oily for my liking. They do rotate the flavors weekly which can keep it interesting though. One downfall is it does get a little crowded in the restaurant itself when they are busy, since the dining area is small. This would be a good place to stop by if you just want some quick bites.

I used to come here often pre-covid because their bingsu was so good each time I went. I went today for the first time in a while, and it did not match the same taste and vibes as before. I ordered the medium mango strawberry bingsu for 3 people to eat, but we could not even finish fast enough for all the shaved ice to be completely melted. I could see it getting drastically more soupy with each bite, which usually doesn't happen. I'm a fast eater and by the 3rd spoon, it was basically soup. The fruits were drizzled all over with syrup - way too much...probably to cover up the unripe fruit. I'm a dessert gal so I'm sad I left on an unsweet note. Other customers we saw were enjoying their other options: korean corn dogs and mochi donuts. It seems that they have switched up their focus to those foods. Years ago, before the other options were available, the bingsu was delicious so it's understandable the quality of bingsu was sacrificed a little. Honestly, I would give less stars but I'm just hoping I came on an off day

My brother and I were super excited when we found out about this place and drove from Cypress to Katy for it. They were super busy, so it took a while for us to get our order, but the drive and wait were worth it! If you're in the Katy Asian Town area, you should definitely check this place out. I wish we got more for how expensive it was though.

I think the restaurant name is Sul Bing Su, and they serve food from various other stores such as Chung Chun's hot dogs and Mochinut's donuts. We had a half half hot dog with sugar and, at the cashier's recommendation, a small mango strawberry shaved ice. I liked the mango habanero sauce at the sauce station. It's sweet at first and then the heat kicks in a second later. The half half has cheese at the top half and a hot dog on the bottom half (it's not side by side). I'll probably get just cheese next time.

Love the corn dogs. A good variety of choices and everything I had was good. Next time we'll try the Bing Su

Delicious is an understatement

This was so delicious! I shared this with my siblings and we each got a sufficient amount. I really like the look of the dessert and all the fresh mango they place on top. The ice below is also super creamy.

The Korean corn dogs are hit or miss and the wait is so long even when they don't have much customers and they never have the cheese dip for the dogs

Me and my son tried this place this weekend. It did not disappoint. We each got a corn dog and they were so crunchy and delicious and amazing. I tried to half and half with hot Cheetos and my son got a volcano dog with hot Cheetos. They were both really amazing. Can't wait to go back and try the bing su and some other of the korean corn dogs.

You really can't go wrong with a place that serves bing su AND Korean hot dogs. It's the best of both sweet and savory. The first time I tried the famous Korean hot dog was here and I wasn't sure what to expect. It definitely lived up to the hype. There's several different options to choose from. I got the mozzarella with a potato coating. It was unlike any hotdog/corn dog I've tried before. I definitely recommend it with sugar and some ketchup & mustard. I know that sounds like an odd combo but trust me it works. The bingsu was super refreshing. It wasn't overly sweet like a lot of bingsu places I've been to but still satisfied my sweet tooth. The mangos were ripe and the whipped cream on top complimented the entire dessert perfectly. If you haven't tried it then what are you waiting for? The cheese pull is enough of a reason to get it.

Super delicious dessert options are here! I love that it felt light and offered sizes from mini to large

I was so excited when this place opened because there aren't many places in Katy that serve bingsu OR korean hot dogs OR mochi donuts and this place does all three! Moreover, they all taste great, so I'm really glad to have this place in Katy Asian Town. I've gotten multiple flavors of bingsu, including injeolmi, fresh mango, and green tea, and I liked them all. I think the mango was really refreshing but if you're new to bingsu and wanting to try new flavors, I do recommend injeolmi! It is a korean flavor with a nutty/sesame-like tasting powder and the mochi adds a fun, chewy touch to the refreshing shaved ice. The korean hot dogs are a fun snack, I really like the sweet flour or rice flour batter that they use instead of corn flour which is used in traditional American hotdogs. The ones with potatoes also fun :) I recommend enjoying them with sugar, contrary to what you might think. And lastly, the mochi donuts are just the right texture, as you can taste the chewiness from the mochi. Sometimes mochi donuts are too tough or overfried and just taste like normal donuts, but these were good. A little oily, but the texture is good.

Why 5 stars? Because I truly wish I could try every single item on the menu. --- --- --- My pal Brittany S was recently in Houston and posted some amazing food photos from a little adventure she had. I immediately let her know that I NEEDED to know where she got all of those little snacks. I imagined she went on a little food tour, but nay, she got all of them in one place: the other (original?) location of this business in Bellaire. I was in Katy and planning to make a final stop for the evening at said OG location. But then I just happened to check to see what was near me. And much to my total surprise, I find out that they had a Katy location, less than 2 miles from where I was. What amazing luck! And then I pull up to see the most glorious shopping plaza I think I have ever seen in my entire like: Katy Asian Town. WHAT is this place?! There must be 50+ businesses, pretty much all of them serving various types of Asian food. It's basically just like Bellaire, but everything looks and feels brand new. If I lived in Katy, I would pretty much live in this parking lot. As for my experience here, the reality is that I was not even slightly hungry when I arrived. But if you know me, I will always over-order when I am visiting a foodie destination like this one. I could resist ordering three different Korean corn dogs: a regular one, a potato and a ramen. All were great. I probably slightly preferred the potato, then the ramen and lastly, the regular. I actually had gourmet hot dogs for lunch, so it was all a bit of overload for me, but I could still very much appreciate these, despite the indigestion later that evening. Who knew eating like 5,000 calories in one day could lead to consequences?? I also ordered a Mango Bing Su and a Pandan Mochi donut. These were the big hits for me. Don't get me wrong, the corn dogs were cool and very unique, but I loved the desserts. I am not exaggerating when I say that I could literally eat that bing su and donut every single day for 3 straight years and not get tired of them. Until we meet again, I will think of both of you.
