About Market Eatery

Market Eatery is a Malaysian restaurant located within one of the many strip malls in Katy. The modern building has a cozy dining area divided into smaller sections. The service was friendly and prompt, although basic, with no attempt to clean the table between courses. The menu offers interesting cocktails and juices, as well as a nice variety of dishes.

Guests enjoyed sharing the Roti, an Indian flatbread with a delicious curry chicken dip, and the Kerabu Prawns, skewered large prawns with pickled papaya, mango, peanuts, and toasted sesame. The Salt and Pepper Calamari were crisp, flavorful, and slightly crunchy, while the Mango Chicken, with fresh mango, bell pepper, and onions in a light sauce, was a hit. The Beef Rendang, served with a coconut curry and chunks of potato, was reminiscent of Hungarian Goulash but with the addition of coconut. The Beef Hor Fun was also savory, although less memorable.

The eatery is located within the H Mart grocery store, which can get a bit congested, and the dining area can feel a bit cramped. However, the overall experience was enjoyable, with flavorful food and generous portions.
