DARUTORI - Nagoya Style Wings & Boba

I really wanted to like this place. We ordered soy garlic and honey garlic wings and they ended up being inedible.

The soy garlic wings basically tasted like straight up soy sauce. It was so incredibly salty. I couldn’t get past more than 2 before deciding there was just no way I could finish.

The honey garlic was better but it also tasted like someone just poured raw honey on the wings. There was a bit of an aftertaste.

The good-the size and crunchiness of the wings were perfect.

Overall, it’s a shame that the saltiness and aftertaste ended up ruining what could have been good wings.

First time here and had the kimchi fries and garlic parmesan wings. It was really good. The fries were a lot bigger than I expected, so you could share with two people. The service was outstanding as well. My only qualm is that the restroom needs a good scrubbing other than that, it was a great experience. I would highly recommend.

I wanted to order the tenders, but if you order the tenders, you can't order any sauce on the side? That absolutely doesn't make any sense. It had been awhile since I've been here, and now I'm really not returning. I ended up getting a chicken sandwich so I could enjoy a fried piece of chicken with my choice of sauce. Even then, when I did receive my sandwich, there was such a miniscule amount of sauce.

So I finished my meal and I still didn't have the drinks I ordered - a mango tea and a lemonade. Nothing fancy and time consuming.

I cant get any sauce on the side?? really? Just dry chicken and fries with no sauce? Such a weird business model. I'll be thinking about it all weekend.

Get it together, guys. This is crazy.

Terrible service. For spending $30 they are STINGY on the sauce. Looks nothing like the picture and was straight up DENIED sauce for the tenders. The drinks came 20 minutes after we ordered. We were done with our food by the time my lemonade came. All they do is apologize without making the situation better. Left unhappy. Guy at counter didn't even say goodbye to us. Thanks for taking our money I guess.

When this place first opened, the sandwiches and chicken wings were amazing—juicy and full of flavor. But now, they’ve become extremely bland. Maybe they tried to tone down the sauce to cater to "modern audience" who hate flavor? I’m not sure. I really miss the old, flavorful sauce in the sandwiches. Maybe they changed chef as their turnover rate is pretty high. Now the food just tastes so plain and boring.

Pretty decent wings and tea drinks.
Cook staff definitely hone their craft and ensure the quality is tangible.
Great for when you have a wing craving.

A bit on the pricey side but the portion size is acceptable.

Theyre like KFC hot wings but chunkier.

I wish it didnt get more expensive if you wanted different flavors.

Definitely try the tea drinks.

I would be a frequent patron if the price improved. Until then, it will be a once in a blue moon occurrence.

This is a Japanese chicken sandwich boba place. The quality of the chicken is pretty good...It taste firm and not mushy like Costco or HEB type...The chicken doesn't seem like the oversize hormones injected chicken. Love also the sauce and flavor. The boba also us pretty good. The price is affordable and located near HEB. However the construction around Cinco ranch make it harder to reach.

I was looking for a quick bite and saw this wing place that looked really good .

Definitely gives me KFC(Korean fried chicken)vibes but Japanese.

I’ll break down what I ordered and why the rating .

Sauces - I was able to pick 2 flavors on 12 wings . Osaka sweet chili quite flavorful with a very minimal kick
The other I chose dry rub Fire Cracker. Which was ehh

Wings- after looking at pictures and all wings looks like they have been tossed in sauce . If you look at my pictures sauce was just drizzled on top. Batter wasn’t tasty at all with it being drizzled I had to ask for more sauce . Seems a bit half assssed . Even the dry rub wasn’t that tasty .

Service - cashier was nice and helpful to recommend flavors to me. I ordered combo with my wings which is fries and drink. After I ordered I was told they ran out of cups. Customers came in after me to pick up to go . Which all had to wait . Someone from the back had to leave the store to pick up more cups . Seems like poor management and quality control .

Wish I never came and got my money back. All this for $28 lunch . Quite pricey for 12pc and bad quality food .

Their sauces are really good and have a good selection of boba drinks. Definitely recommend the chicken sandwich or tenders

I ordered four drinks today. The drink holders are very cheap and both of them broke while I stepped into my house. All the drinks dropped and flooded on the floor. Very disappointed.

The boba is amazing!!!! I love the cute little keychains you can get at the gacha machine they have! My favorite is their divine bird sandwich!
