“Dim Sum Box is not your typical dim sum restaurant—it’s an experience, a story, and a celebration of culture reimagined for the modern foodie. From the moment you step inside, the thoughtfully designed space, with its airy brightness and intricate details inspired by dim sum dishes, sets the stage for an unforgettable meal. Chef-owner Gilbert Fung, a culinary innovator with deep roots in Houston’s food scene, has masterfully blended tradition with innovation. His bold approach to dim sum brings familiar favorites to life in ways you’ve never tasted before. The fried shao mai, with its perfectly crunchy panko coating and a burst of chili garlic, is an absolute game-changer, while the crispy twist on classic ha gow adds a delightful texture to a beloved staple. Dim Sum Box isn’t just about exceptional food; it’s about creating connections. The communal nature of dim sum shines through in the large family-style tables and the rotating menu of 50 mouthwatering options, making it the perfect spot for a shared dining experience. Whether you’re a dim sum novice or a seasoned enthusiast, you’ll find yourself drawn to Fung’s inventive take on Cantonese cuisine. What truly elevates Dim Sum Box, though, is the heart behind every detail. From the nostalgic neon sign honoring Grandma Fung to the craftsmanship of the decor, every aspect of the restaurant tells a story of family, passion, and tradition. This isn’t just a meal; it’s a love letter to the art of dim sum, crafted with care and creativity. Dim Sum Box is more than just a restaurant—it’s a destination for anyone craving a fresh take on timeless flavors. Come for the food, stay for the story, and leave with your heart—and belly—full.“

“First let's start with the food overall it was super good. The must tries are lava balls dessert and baked barbecue buns. Second, the service was awesome the waiters made sure we had our food. Finally the atmosphere it was okay the place where we ate our food was noisy and it was pretty clean. In the restroom there was no toilet paper in one stall and there was barely, paper towels, and there was toilet paper on the floor. In conclusion it was 4/5 stars I recommend this place the price is a bit pricey, but totally worth it. We've been to Tim Hi Wan 3-4 times it is so good.♥️You should definitely go here.“
