Duke's offers an authentic Venezuelan breakfast experience, highlighted by their fresh and flavorful arepas and empanadas. The arepas, notably fried to perfection, strike a delightful balance with their nice crunch. The ordering process is convenient - you order at the counter and the food is brought to your table, ensuring a relaxed and comfortable dining experience. The tastiness of their offerings, combined with the freshness of the ingredients, makes Duke's a must-visit for those seeking to savor genuine Venezuelan cuisine.

I stopped by at Dukes today to get dinner to go. From the moment I walked in, the young lady that assisted me was very courteous in recommending what's good to eat as I told her that this was the first time there. I had the the cheese and chicken empanadas, and the shredded pork and shredded chicken, cheese, fried sweet plantains bowls. The food not only looked good, but also tasted very good. Everything tasted good. We will definitely be back as this place is really close to home.

The scrambled eggs in the perico were too salty. I had to throw out my dish after three bites. I requested a lettuce bun for my plantain burger and instead was served a regular bun. I also asked for the patty to be omitted but yet I got it. Chicha is one of my favorite drinks, but not at this place. Heartbreaking. The drink was so thick I couldn't even sip it through a straw, nor pour it into a cup! I don't recommend Dukes :(

I've only ever had take out/doordash - so while I have been inside I don't know what the true ambiance is to sit, wait and eat is like. The food on the other hand, BABY! Their food is wonderful. I get the same thing most times, and I truly have no complaints. The food is seasoned well, normal size proportions. The service when I order has always been good too. It appears to be a family owned place. The girls are always really sweet and the father is nice too! Food- 8Service- 8Ambiance- can't correctly tellLike if this review was helpful

Venezuelan food in Houston/Katy; in the words of Ace Ventura: ALLLLLLLL RIGHTY THEN!With our assignment in Katy this past week, myself and a few team members decided to check this out based on my YELP feed pulling this place up. We went with shredded chicken/beef empanadas and pastelitos. Another person also ordered the pollo pabe bowl (plaintains, rice, black beans, cheese). Everyone loved their pastries and the person who ordered the bowl was very complimentary of the flavor and taste. Not to mention price-wise, it was affordable and reasonable. The owners are extremely nice and humble. They heard us mention it was our first time there and surprised us with an order of Tequenos (latin version of mozzerella sticks) which we were thankful for and enjoyed to the last bite. Also came with this cilantro-like ranch that we squeezed on everything. Delicious!Restaurant is clean and welcoming with it's spanish music and friendly staff. I was surprised there was hardly anyone inside; this is a gem in Katy and I'm hoping more people check this place out!

8/8/2023 5-star: Got the Domino Arepa and it was great. Overflowing with the perfect ratio of beans to cheese. This place is delicious. Would recommend the mango juice as well.8/1/2023 4-star: Ordered the Domino and got like 90% cheese and %10 beans. Don't get me wrong, I love a lot of cheese, and the arepa was filled to the brim which is amazing, but was hoping for more substance with the beans. I've previously ordered the Domino and it had an almost 50/50 split of beans and cheese and it was great. Tequenos with the garlic sauce is an 11/10

Pleasantly surprised by this place, I had the steak parrilla and the meat was delicious and tender. Will come back to try other things on the menu!!

Stopped in here for the stuffed arepas. The Pabellon is my favorite! I love the sweet and savory combo of the meat and sweet plantain. Its a messier type of meal as the fillings usually fall out bc of how stuffed it is. Overall tasty quick meal! I would come back to try different things on the menu.

Best arepas in town, hands down! I've tried other Venezuelan restaurants but the food and service at Duke's is the best. Prices are reasonable and portions bigger.Keep up the good work! ??
