I have some good news, and some bad news. The good news is, I loved the barbacoa! It was tender and delicious. Lots of flavor. Thank you for not adding bay leaf or keeping the bay leaf in the meat. But unfortunately I only recieved 2 salsas for 2 lbs of barbacoa. And the tamales were on the dry side and $5 over priced.
Our 2nd visit we went to pick up barbacoa and menudo to go. But several times disappointed with the way the man answered us and said No to everything! No tortillas with menudo, no tacos. Previous time we ate there and the 2 ladies were fantastic and made us feel welcome. We had menudo with corn tortillas, and 2 barbacoa tacos each! El Campesino Tortilleria serves high quality tortillas, including harina tortillas and maiz. The restaurant offers delicious meals such as barbacoa, arroz & frijoles, and cuban tortas. The tortilla chips are also a favorite. The place is very clean inside. Customers appreciate the great service and find the food amazing. Popular items include carnitas, birria, and chicken. The seating space is limited, but many prefer to take their food home. However, not all dishes receive positive feedback, with some customers being disappointed with the menudo. Overall, El Campesino Tortilleria is a great place to try traditional meals, with many customers planning to return.
