Kura Revolving Sushi Bar

I’m giving this place 2 stars primarily because of how dirty it was. Unfortunately, the cleanliness completely overshadowed the food.

After we sat down, I noticed the table felt sticky, so I used a disinfecting wipe I had with me to clean a small area where I was sitting. The wipe came away looking disgusting. It wasn’t until after we had already ordered that we noticed just how dirty everything was, including the napkin holder, which made the overall experience even more unappetizing.

As for the food, the edamame lacked flavor and was pretty disappointing. The yellowtail sashimi tasted fresh, but the slices were cut so thin that it didn’t feel like a good value. The wagyu beef was the highlight of the meal. It was absolutely delicious.

Because we couldn't get past the lack of cleanliness, we decided not to order anything else after the items we had already ordered arrived. It’s unfortunate because there were other dishes we wanted to try, but the dirty environment made us lose our appetite.

The atmosphere and concept is cool but the food was not good. The fried items were gross and over greasy. The sushi was also just ok. You can tell the quality is not great. Overall, I would not come again.

Today will be our last time dining here…. I feel sad this was one of our favorite place to dine but today was really horrible..

We have been dining here since 2023 with more than 750 lifetime plates… we did stop coming due to price increase which I understand, but we were still trying to come from time to time but every time we were disappointed. Today everything was not right from water having bleach taste to shrimp being not fresh… that’s it for us not worth it anymore.

The adjacent seats on either side of the pick-up track will disturb each other. The dishes are good.

Second time here and service was amazing. All the servers we interacted with were very kind, attentive and helpful. Love the prizes and the portions/variety helped me try many different things without having to commit to a full plate.

Took the family there for lunch, and we had a great time. I had never tried suspicious at a revolvins suspicious bar before, so I did not know what to expect, but the food here was very good, and when we placed orders for special item, they arrived so fast. I will definately go here agian, and again.

We've been to Kura Sushi at least 50 times in different locations around the world, and unfortunately this was by far the worst experience we've had.

The first thing we noticed when walking in was the overwhelming smell of bleach throughout the entire restaurant. It was so strong that it completely ruined our appetite. Honestly, it felt like we were eating in a public restroom rather than a restaurant.

I understand Kura is designed to be affordable, but this is the first Kura location where I could clearly tell that some of the ingredients did not seem fresh. The combination of the strong chemical smell and the quality of the food made for a very disappointing experience.

I hope Kura's corporate team takes a close look at this location and its management. We've always enjoyed Kura and have been loyal customers for years, which makes this experience even more disappointing.

Decent sushi, not great. Almost no service bcoz everything is automated. I was hoping someone will explain how it works bcoz it was our first time, but it was supposed to be just understood with only little instructions on the table.
The overall experience with auto-delivery of orders to the table via assemblyline-style belts and a robot was good. Good to try at least once.

I’ve been going here ever other week almost since moving to Katy. Not sure if it’s the new management but it’s changed so much that sevice has drastically dropped and they clearly watered down their sake and drinks which was insulting to say the least when weeks ago I was there and it was normal

Personally, I wouldn’t recommend coming here. The sushi does not seem like true representations of what you are ordering. Like, I’ve been to tons of sushi restaurants and I know what salmon is supposed to look like, I know what yellowtail is supposed to look like, and it’s not what I got on my plates….i could be wrong…I hope I’m wrong. But to me, the nigiri I got looked like imitation versions of the fish I ordered.
