Update: It’s insane that you would look up my work place. Fortunately, that isn’t where I work and you can even call and verify. But it’s good for your customers to see what length of psychotic behavior you all are showing us. I’m updating my review based on the response I received. My review is for this location. The owner is rude and very condescending. I didn’t expect him to take any accountability for his immature behavior — and he proved me right. Actions speak louder than words, and clearly, there are many unhappy customers who’ve had the same issue with one person — the owner.

I had a very upsetting experience here. The owner was extremely rude and dismissive from the moment I arrived. I had clearly informed him that my child has a severe nut allergy, yet my order was still prepared incorrectly. When I brought it up, he responded by saying, “Well, why did you come to a place that has nuts?” — which was completely inappropriate and insensitive. His tone and attitude made me feel unwelcome and disrespected.

No customer deserves to be spoken to this way, especially when raising a legitimate health concern. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves their approach toward customers and allergy safety.

Please go anywhere else!

I love Tropical Smoothie but here the service is terrible and what surprises me the most is that it is the owner! Super arrogant and not at all friendly! I don’t think it’s a good example for its employees

He made the smoothie and I told him that I didn’t want orange juice and I put too much water I couldn’t even taste the taste of the fruits!

Came here this past weekend and ordered the jerk chicken wrap with added bacon. The person whom I bought the wrap for, informed me that bacon was not added. I saw bacon written on the order, but for some reason it was not added. I also ordered the hummus veggie for myself and it did not taste too good, and I was not able to finish it. The girl taking my order also asked me about sides. I wanted to get the corn thinking it was an option with the meal and I asked for clarification and she said yes it was an option, but then I see I am being charged extra for the sides and I had to ask her to remove it. She should have mentioned it is extra for certain sides. This is not the normal location I go to and I most likely will not return. Please do better.

I love tropical smoothies but this is by far the worst location. Of course this is a franchise owner who is rude and racist. No one greets you when you walk in and the owner is flat out rude but expects someone to spend their money at this location. The owner did not have comprehension skills to process what I was saying . He said I am the owner sir that’s besides the point . If you complete a survey you can get a smoothie for $1.99 . I even provided the code from and receipt . I tried explaining this to him he didn’t understand instead he got rude saying he makes 1,000’s of smoothies per day and he never heard of that. He also said he can refuse my service. Sir I will never spend my money at a location where the owner is rude and have no management skills . Again please do not visit this location . It’s a location that’s by Katy freeway that’s actually worth going to and have a drive thru and I will continue to visit that location. Please look at this review and the previous reviews and do not waste your time or money visiting this location !!!!

Stopped in tonight 10 minutes before closing. I felt bad. The employees had already had cleaned everything up but they still took my order. They were so kind and were happy to help. Thank you for the hospitality.

Went in with my friend (he is Nigerian with an accent) and was treated poorly by an older gentleman taking our order. He had an attitude and mocked my friend’s accent while I was paying. After waiting for our food he said here loud with the same accent and had this smug face. Food is alright but horrible manager who is racist. Do not expect good customer service if you are a person of color.

Based on the horrible reviews these people clearly have a problem. Both the husband and his wife are rude. The woman became so enraged she even came out from behind the counter in an attempt to approach me. For a brief moment I felt threatened and that I might need to defend myself.

Not to mention the restrooms are disgusting. They haven’t been cleaned in months, complete filth! I used tissue to turn on the faucet. I plan on reporting them to the state, I’m sure this is a violation. Horrible experience!

Child Model

I went in today to order a Acai bowl. I asked the associate if he could put the fruit on the side, since I wanted to eat the Acai bowl later. I explained that I wanted to put the Acai bowl in the freezer but I didn't want the fruit to be frozen. He immediately told me NO. I wasn't asking for anything extra or additional, I just wanted the fruit toppings on the side. I told him that I often order it that way so I can enjoy it later and I've never had a problem. I do not see why he chose not to accommodate my simple request. I was the only person in the store at the time so he wasn't busy. I left the store without a purchase.

I ordered my birthday smoothie, and when my husband went to pick it up, he showed them the order number, and the manager said he could not find the order even though my husband kept showing him the order number and the order information, correct location and everything.
This Manager should clearly not be there. Shady!

I love the avocolada, I always order it at different locations, I like the avocado but not the chunks on my smoothie, next time please blend it well also the customer service is awful, so sad that the main rude of this location is the owner. 0 star if I could.

The manager clearly treats his customers with respect based on their race. I wasn’t greeted at all. When he took my order, he was impatient and seemed annoyed by a simple question. I sat down to wait for my order. The next customer to order was a White male. The manager was very welcoming and jokingly played around with the customer’s son. The manager engaged in conversation outside of the customer’s order. The manager even walked away from the register to continue the conversation with the customer. The manager passed my table twice and didn’t bother to check-in or look my way. I will not be back.

Hamel (The manager) if that's his real name.. is so ridiculously rude. When I asked for the number to corporate he lied and said he did not have it. When I asked what the store number was he first told me he did not have it. I had to ask 2 more times and he finally told me he didn't want to give me the store number because I'll just forget it, as if I'm too stupid to write it down. Corporate definitely needs to know how this manager is treating customers while representing their company. Hamel, if you don't want to deal with customers GET OUT OF CUSTOMER SERVICE.
