Update: They were open this time. Huli Huli Chicken and Sides were awesome! Brisket a little tough and dry. Won't stop me for coming back. Definitely want to try the Loco Moco and the Maui Short Ribs!

As a lover of Hawai’ian foods, I can say this spot is premier. The meats are delicious, and it’s one of the closest places I’ve eaten at on the mainland to authentic hawai’ian plate lunches—which makes sense since the chef is from Hawai’i. They even have gravy, which I’ve not found at any mainland place. It’s so unusual to find a place like this in a random Texas town, like Keene. But the owner has an interesting story of how they ended up there. I will absolutely be back anytime I’m in town, and would encourage everyone to try this place out.

I have never been to Keene until today as I was picking up a tarantula and beforehand I had looked into places to eat and found this place and having grown a taste for Hawaiian food since visiting the islands, this was a no brainer. The food portions will fill you up and the quality is good, both of the people there who I assume are the owners were very friendly. I recommend this to passersby, visitors, and residents

Delicious! Everything made is in house, price is average, and portion size is excellent! Service was personable and the owners were friendly. Best Hawaiian food I've had in a long time and well worth any drive. We will definitely be back! We had the Teriyaki and rib plates and some huli huli chicken. I could drink the hulihuli sauce by itself it was so good! They also have vegetarian options which is pretty cool and is a pork free restaurant, so no kalua pork.

My boyfriend and I like to check out mom & pop places to eat and this definitely hit the spot! They had plenty of options to choose from, I got the teriyaki steak & he had the short ribs. We also tried the guava cake and it was delicious! We will definitely be going back. They seemed very personable with the regulars they had as well. The owners definitely work hard and care. We will be back!

We had lunch for 5 today & food was made quick & tasted yummy! Can’t wait to try their breakfast dishes! Highly recommend! They have real meat & also have vegetarian options 😊

AMAZING flavorful food with very welcoming owners and staff. Highly recommend the Huli Huli chicken plate and plantains! Food is freshly made, proportions are generous and price is better than a fast food combo meal.
