“The drive from Waco to this bakery located in Keene, Tx was around 45 minutes, but it was worth it. I highly recommend you visit this place and try their pastries and sandwiches as they are delicious! They have most of the traditional Puerto Rican pastries like pastelillos de guayaba and quesitos. They also have budin con pasas, tembleque, flan and much more. They even have limbers in the traditional flavors we love like tamarindo, coco, parcha, and mango, among other yummy flavors. Of course, they also make delicious bread or pan de bollo like we call it in Puerto Rico. I love the fact that you can customize your sandwich in so many ways and that they offer vegetarian alternatives. We tried the baked turkey and the biftec sandwich and they were so good! They also offer freshly squeezed orange juice and we loved it. The thing I liked the most was their frituras. We got some delicious alcapurrias and rellenos de papa and it felt like we were back home. You must try them! Keene Texas is lucky to have this panaderia. We would love to have them in Waco. Will definitely come back soon.”
“Best brisket and banana pudding I’ve EVER had. Every meal is a 10/10. From the main plate and sides to the dessert and sweet tea, everything was and always is exceptional.”
“Coffee is so tasty. Nellie at the counter always greets me and is smiling. I've noticed she does that to everyone. Prices are fantastic as an extra. The baked good are very fresh.A very friendly place where you can hold a small meeting to a study group for the college students.Dietary restrictions: Nellie has a variety of milks and skinny syrups that are sugar free. She also makes a mean egg and vegan sausage sandwich. She allows me to bring in a low carb tortilla.Parking: Park right out front..Kid-friendliness: There are some toys there for children to play with. And for those adults that are still kids at heart there is always a puzzle on the table.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a handicapped spot and ramp right in front. Door is very wide and there is plenty of room between tables to move.”
“The only cafeteria I remember going to last week was Swau's cafeteria. And the food was great and YUMMY TO MY TUMMY!!! YOU SHOULD TRY IT SOMEDAY!!! IF YOU DIG THE HEALTHY VIBES OR TREND!!!”
“Our family ordered online and picked up. The staff were all smiling, friendly and upbeat. ALL of our food - The Jim Stix, Sticky Fingers and Hamburger pizza - was amazing! We appreciate the positive experience and felt we needed to give a “shout out” to the crew working last night!”
“Every drink created is delightful. But best of all is the service that has a smile with it every time. Great place to connect with others or just hang out. Prices are reasonable also, which is important these days. Disclosure: I do know the owners but have received no compensation for my review. Just my honest assessments.”
“We order at least twice a month or more. Sandwiches are usually fresh and well made. Only wish we could get coupons in the mail. I can only access them through the app, which means I have to order through the app only. I'd rather order in person and oversee my sandwich being made, to my preference.”
“Very friendly staff, who always try to go above and beyond to make your order correct, and make your experience the best it can be. I came in tonight for a burger & they said there would be a 4 minute wait for my burger as they were making fresh patties and if I was okay with that, first of all thank you for valueing my time & secondly thank you for bringing out my drink whule i waited on the rest of my order! You are appreciated”
“Food was bussin bussin and cheap! ?The staff was really nice and for how fast the food came out, I did not expect the food to be as good as it was. Also, if you eat in, you get free chips with a good selection of salsas from their salsa bar! Try the Aguas frescas too! I got horchata and it was yummy. Plenty of options all around and really good!Vegetarian options: There are things vegetarians can eat, but nothing clearly labeled.”
“Highly recommend checking them out if you are in Burleson. It is upscale food without a snooty vibe. Portions were very good for the price and the seasonal menu was delicious. Overall best dining in Burleson hands down”
“A bit crowded and took a while to get our order, but they're pretty busy there...like every really good burger joint. Nice flavor, not the typical Sysco-burger.”
“I’m going to be fair with a four star rating due to this just not being my thoughts as to what an Italian ice is supposed to be. There’s gelatos, there sorbettos, the granatas, and then there is this. They are kind of like a mix between a granata and either a sorbetto or gelato depending on what you get. When I think of Italian ice, I think of a tart lemon or a savory sweet strawberry. However, this is just not what they serve. My daughter liked it, and her friends seemed to as well. I would prefer a simple snowcone to this. However, they do seem to achieve what they are trying to do with the crowd that they are focusing on. If they ever got a super sour option, I would be completely down to try it again. Until then, I will be making my own granatas. This positive score is only for what my daughter and her friends said about this place.”
“It always smells amazing in the restaurant and almost all the cookies are amazing good, the customer service is well and the wait time isn’t that much to me in my opinion, so in all, best place to get cookies for a good price especially by the size!”
“I was very happy to have a really good burger, cold draft beer, and decided to try the homemade chips instead of fries. I'm glad I did as they were outstanding. Wasn't sure what to do with the ranch dressing they served with the chips, but, dipping turned out to be tasty.”
“We love going to Jimmie’s for a date night! We have been coming to eat here since we moved back to Johnson County from the TCU area in Fort Worth. My husband and I were thrilled when we found this hidden gem in the heart of downtown Cleburne. We loved going out in FTW and we were pleasantly surprised when we discovered the food at Jimmie’s rivaled some of the best in the metroplex. Jimmie and Amanda have done a fantastic job of creating a fine dining experience close to home. We love what you are doing and will continue to support your business!”
“Always friendly. Great food. Fries are not on the crispy side but I like them. Great ma and pa hamburger joint! Fish and chicken are good too! ?Dietary restrictions: Most things are fried here! But they have salad!Kid-friendliness: My son loves this place!Wheelchair accessibility: Yes”
“Oh my gosh, obsessed is an understatement. The espresso is DELICIOUS and the drinks overall are incredible. You can tell they take great care in making them. The employees were very sweet and welcoming too! Love the atmosphere. We will definitely come back often! My only issue was that the muffin was super dry but I’m sure that was just a fluke.”
“Parking: I park out front every time.Kid-friendliness: No one under 21 allowed on the premises.Wheelchair accessibility: Fully accessible for anyone with wheelchairs.”
“The food is delicious chicken fried chicken is huge, homemade mashed potatoes, homemade hash browns, the cucumber salad is bomb. Staff is super nice and accommodating. Will definitely go back.Sorry i forgot pictures.”
“I love this place. Have been going consistently since they opened. The half price drinks during the week are excellent. The staff is wonderful and recognize me (told you I go there too much). Lots of options, and a great sugar free selection. Wish their large drinks (hot) were a bit bigger. No complaints and will continue going!”
“Very nice people working here!! Food was good!! Prices were decent as well!! Doesn't look like much on the outside but it's pretty neat to see the murals painted on the walls on the inside. This place was a suggestion from the lovely lady that runs the Gone With The Wind Museum about 8 miles up the road. She loves this place!! Definitely go to the museum it's worth it!!”
“This place was a diamond in the rough for sure. A quick Google search for highly rated Mexican food restaurants pulled this baby up. It was a little further out of our way than we wanted to travel, but oh boy was it worth the trip. It didn't look like much on the outside. We actually considered not going in. My family and I are happy we did. It was nice, clean, and extremely helpful staff. The food came out quickly and did not disappoint our taste buds. The Food was exceptional, and the owner made his rounds to visit the patrons to hear our satisfaction. Don't worry, those eaters in your group that don't like tex mex are sure to find other more "Tex" menu options like burgers chicken fried chicken etc. Absolutely Recommend !”
“Food was good. Bread and dessert that came with meal were lacking freshness feel. Howdy waitress super friendly. Established handled my payment issues with easy and dignity.”
“Parking: We love our place, we’ve have eatin that the one in Burleson & Cleburne, Mansfield, and love all of them!! Keep up the great work!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️”
“Wow, best rush decision for dinner. We were passing through and decided to stop. Quesadillas were great, enchiladas were great and you must get the elotes in a cup. JUST STOP IF THEY ARE OPEN.”
“Made a reservation for 8pm. It was about a 5 minute wait upon arrival. First time here. Everything ordered was delicious and cooked really well. NY strip (perfectly seasoned), bone in ribeye (wish it had the same seasoning as the strip but it melted in your mouth), whipped mashed potatoes (amazing), green beans, brussel sprouts (a little too much balsamic for me). Let me not forget about the salad also! The candy their own pecans for it and it was a fresh mix of greens with feta and cranberries. And for dessert, there was banana pudding (not sweet enough for me, but that's kind of the point, the cinnamon chip was really nice though) and chocolate cake. My only issue with the cake is I wish it were warm and a la mode... but, when I say this was a massive piece of cake I'm not exaggerating. It is definitely on the pricey end but a great atmosphere, the waitress was very attentive and friendly and made some great recommendations. The owner and/or chef came out to ask about our meal, also very friendly. Will be going back for special occasions! Oh and as far as location... it's in the middle of a ranch so you might feel a little lost driving out to it but just follow Google maps and it will be fine! Nice outdoor firepit area also!”
“After a long grocery list, I was hungry and just needed somewhere to eat. But, I will continue to come here because I was blown away with the customer service and the quality of food that I received.”
“Had a chopped sandwich and onion rings. Staff was great food came out quickly. Onion ring weren't hot but tasted good. All in all a good experience.Do recommend.”
“Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly! The service was just as nice if not better! JMO but I don't get all of the hype over birria tacos. The consome is better over the ”
“Stopped by on the way back from hiking at Cleburne State Park. Menu had a very good variety of choices - our family ordered a few different plates and entrees. Everything was super fresh, well prepared and tasty! We got our order to go but the service was very nice and assisted in the ordering process. Thank you!!!”
