Great fresh sandwiches and salads. Reuben yummy. We get one and share it. Medium cucumber, tomato onion salad was more than we could finish. Service is quick. Call ahead if you don’t want to wait. Popular place of locals.

OMG, what a hidden gem right in Kerville, Texas. Everything I ate was so very fresh and appetizing. If your in a hurry dont stop in, Good things are worth waiting for, we'll worth it. I had the chicken and sausage gumbo with okra, took me back to Lafayette, Louisiana!! The turkey sandwich was just as amazing, the bread was perfect and melted in my mouth. This place has been here for over 30 plus years for a reason, just wow!!!

It's an adorable time capsule with great food at reasonable prices. I'm always excited to come here when I visit Kerrville, it was a staple of my childhood and still tastes great today. Love the mix and match seating and furniture. They also have a frozen case of premade meals! Great for picking up quick dinner.

Even though it seems like their decor is from Goodwill, I just wanted a good sandwich. As I am waiting in line ( one person in front of me ) I’m looking at their menu. Then , someone walks in for a to go order and the owner lets him cut in line so that he can pay and leave without asking if it’s ok . I asked the old Asian lady if the french dip sandwich comes hot and toasted . She said yes. The whole experience was really dry but what was more important was the food. I got my food and was eager to take a bite … it was all cold .. so disappointed. I will not be returning here . There was plenty of meat on my sandwich but I prefer quality foods.

Great sandwich at a reasonable price. My husband always complains that nobody puts enough meat on his sandwich. Plenty on this sandwich. Bread is made in house and so fresh. Try the rosemary sun dried tomatoe bread and the lemon apricot cookie.

I have been passing by this place for a long freaking time. I kept telling myself that I need to try it. Well I finally did it and it was an unexpected site. My daughter was with me and when we walked in it smelled of the olden days. The tables were spread out and service was in the back of the place. There were 3 workers, two men and a lady, (reminds me of the movie). They were busy making orders as they came in. Everything was fresh cut off the block and they make their own bread. The menu was simple and you had to choose your drink from a cooler, like a convenient store. The chicken tortilla soup was great and so was my sandwich. I ordered the half sandwich which I was thankful for because it was just enough for my appetite. The place reminded me of the restaurant that my grandparents used to live next to. The atmosphere was pleasant and cozy. I will go back again but this time it won't take me many years to do it.
