I won't be back. We decided to bring our food home. The service was terrible. Our waitress had only one other table. I waited for her to bring me a beer and it took her over 10 minutes. There was NOT but maybe 6 tables in the whole place with people in it. Monday night foodball was on...and you couldn't hear it for the loud music. We got our food but it was luke warm. We had all we could take so we got bags and took our food home. I could have duplicated the food we got by going to HEB and buying it raw and fixing it at home. Would have been hot and no crap to put up with. With this kind of service you won't be in business much longer. Believe me I am telling everyone I know. We spent $69.98 on food and it wasn't worth the crap we went through. WON'T BE BACK! We were there on Oct. 20th 2025 at 6:42pm. Our "Waitress" was Keylah A. One other thing...I asked for a large beer and she brought it and gave me a straw. Clueless!

Came to lunch with a friend and the bartender approached us while on FaceTime like seriously! Didn’t even introduce herself or anything just asked what r yall drinking if she would’ve introduced herself I would put her name but she was to busy serving us while on her phone ! She can’t even focus on making the drinks because she busy tryna hold her phone the worst and this is coming from a bartender my self do better and hire better ! Also her Michelada suck !

The food is to die for , from hard boiled eggs with Cajun butter to the crab pho boy and the 1/2 lb small boil . It’s always fire and fresh . One of my favorite places in Killeen and it never disappoints 💯🍻🦾🦾

Every time I visit Killeen this is my first eating choice.

I don't know if someone cooking isn't washing their hands or if the kitchen is filthy or what, but the last time I ate here was the 2nd time I got sick after eating. I could barely make it home before my daughter had to pull over for me to puke and I puked the rest of the evening. I know for sure they fried the fish and everything in the same grease. And the grease is old. The last time my friend ate here she also was very sick after. Don't get me started on the drink. When I told my waitress that I didn't like the drink because it was flavorless. She originally told me that she would take it off my bill, then offered to remake it for me herself. I agreed. She brought me back the drink in a different glass and it tasted the same. She asked me was it better, I just looked at her and said yes. I was not about to go back and forth with her on how I knew it was the same drink in a different glass...I just paid and left. They really need a thorough inspection of the facilty. My daughter then took a co-worker here the other day to get the boil bags and they both got sick. I actually thought I would have to take her to the ER. I really hope you guys do better. I haven't had good seafood, that i haven't had to cook myself, since I left Louisiana.

Overall this restaurant is really good for seafood just because of the taste and quality of the seafood. Obviously we know it's frozen and stuff but the way they cook it is great because it doesn't taste like plastic when you're eating it. The service is really good to it is a very busy place and they have a lot of servers which is really helpful because they are so tentative to your needs and the wait time for the food ordering, getting refills on drinks, all of that is very nice and timed very well. The atmosphere is also very nice and welcoming especially for families with kids. I myself came in we were four adults a child and a toddler in a stroller and we were seated accordingly and accommodated well, even for the small space. Conclusion is that the food the service and the atmosphere are very nice and it is worth the price. If you really want a good boil and other seafood items I do recommend coming here.

I recently ordered seafood from your location and was very disappointed with the quality. The crab had white spots all over it, which looked unsafe, and the shrimp was soft and mushy, which made me lose my appetite. I’m concerned about the freshness and food safety standards. This experience was unacceptable and I hope this is taken seriously. I would appreciate a response and appropriate resolution.

The staff at Hook and reel is extremely awesome Mr Greg is one of the managers there and I can't say enough good things about this guy very very professional enjoy a good time with awesome food #1 place for me

The clam chowder was delicious...unfortunately the potatoes and clams were hard to find. We ordered the flounder basket. The fish was way overcooked, dry and chewy. The french frys were great. Crispy on the outside, moist on the inside. We have been there several times in the past. This was the first time we were disappointed. We won't be going back.

The service her is phenomenal, Greg is a very good manager, you can tell from management to the staff they care about there jobs, it was very busy and the wait wasn’t long and the food came out hot! Great flavor and quality great establishment Greg!

Favorite spot to go to, I like to consider myself a regular and the staff is top tier, the environment is always good! I had Janiah and she is among the best! Her service was very good, one of the best servers there thank you for the excellent service!

My experience here has been nothing but the best Abél is extremely passionate about his job! He very honest and attentive, even through the chaos he still found a way to make sure we were good! Food here is amazing and the music is good! Definitely will return to see abel

This is our go to! Absolutely the best seafood boils we've had and we've been to a lot of places all over central and east texas. The atmosphere is always great and service is nice.

Not so good anymore and very unprofessional staff environment. Music is to loud like a club and the staff gossiping and talking loud doesn’t make any better. When we walked in about 6 member were sitting at the front right table tallking it up. Then the mgr took new hires to another table and introduced them on how the store worked and being right next to them I wanted to help them with their SSN and application. I witnessed male server picking up the girls and caressing them. I’ve seen staff crying in the women’s bathroom as well. Maybe that’s why the food is either cold or over cooked. If they spent more time in that area it might be better.

I've only been there a few times but I've always been treated well I think the prices are fair and the food is amazing
