This is a case of unfortunate placement. It's hard to find and the area smells awful with terrible people that bother this sweet man from working. As someone who moved from Hawaii to Texas finding authentic local food is difficult but Koko Cafe has it all with true local flavors! Great portions and a genuine taste of the islands. The Laulau and poke is killer and had me stuffed. Talking story with the owner felt like being back at home in Hawaii. I highly recommend eating here and getting to know the owners who embody real Aloha Spirit. Definitely looking forward to going back again for both the amazing food and the good company.

This is the best Hawaiian food I have ever had! Do not be afraid of the outside. Walk straight in and to the back where the kitchen is. The owner is very friendly. We had the BBQ chicken, garlic chicken, lau lau, and spam musubi. Every bite was so delicious. 10/10 would recommend and we will definitely be getting food from here again!

If you want an authentic taste from back home, the food here is on point. The laulau was absolutely onolicious with butterfish too! It’s rare to get laulau made with the fish anymore and the taste blended well. Perfect amount of salt that paired well with the mac salad and fresh hot rice. The garlic chicken and furikake chicken were also made to perfection. Tasty, hot and fresh. The best part of the entire experience was definitely the company of Eileen and Pastor Nio, absolute gems! I highly recommend this spot, the only drawback for me is that it’s located in a bingo hall so the smoke does travel your way, however don’t let that stop you because you can always take it to go!!

The Food Delicious, the price 25-26bucks for two adults(worth it in my opinion) (feels like a steal) The portion:(like a grandma who mocks you for not eating enough and adds a lot to your plate) Atmosphere:Hole in the way vibes,might throw you off due to the bingo parlor and slot machines being right there. but hey you’re looking for great food right!? So don’t stop there and go order food from the kind people up front)(else you’ll be missing out) As for details Quick top fyi(forgot to take pictures because me and the lady decided to eat everything so quickly because it was simply just that good) me and my spouse had an Aloha plate The grilled chicken and its sauce just hits all the right places smoky,savory hint of sweet from the sauce juicy as well and the pork just tender and umami. Good good and good.and locomoco bowl. the locomocos gravy was umami and straight diabolical with its own flavor spread out on the burger and rice burger was juicy and had the right amount of salt. The Mac, wasn’t an afterthought nice and creamy. Yet nothing that was overpowering as the sides.mac and rice in the background of the meal but delicious when everything was brought together. Definitely a must try. All and all The folks deserve the business so got get some.

The garlic chicken bits like rubber. 0 out of 10 recommend this place. Whatever the heck pork that is wrapped on the banana leaf….also so dry it was crumbly. Disgusting.
