I absolutely love this place. It's a local spot that I try to get to every weekend. The staff is amazing, so friendly and kind! The food is delicious, I love the chunky guacamole, and they are so great to accommodate my allergy to onions. Plus, the margaritas, I couldn't even begin to explain how fantastic happy hour here.

The lady that is in the reception area very unfriendly. I went to eat there, and she had a weird attitude. I felt unwelcome in that place.

I eat here once a week. Everything is very good but i usually do the tilapia la plancha. Staff is cool too we turn up.

Service was spot on, friendly, attentive. The food was.. Well I’d give it a 5 except the cheese is “American” and just doesn’t fit the meal. But outside of that, the rest was pretty tasty. Fajita burritos on point and the refried beans were not too bad. Just, that cheese though..

I have been debating on posting a review about our experience on Saturday since it was not acceptable and finally decided that I would post. I would really like to give a zero star review; however, the lowest option is a one so guess that'll have to do.

We arrived and were seated at 6:15 pm. and they did take our drink order and brought us chips and salsa. That is about the extent of the service we received. We finally left at 6:30 after a couple of waiters kept walking by and helping the table behind us and totally ignoring us. A group walked in after us and were able to place their order while we were still waiting to order.

Highly disappointed as we usually enjoy going there. We will more than likely be finding a new to to Mexican food restaurant that will actually wait on customers.

Sonia was the best. Great smile. Friendly person. And the food was great too.Had the fajitas. The food didn’t leave me feeling heavy. Descent quality. Will return.

I was pleasantly surprised. I only came to this restaurant because my friend was dying to have his Mexican food and he lives right down the street from this place. I’m not too keen on Mexican food. I don’t like the spices. But I got the tilapia plate with the rice and all sorts of vegetables. It was delicious. I couldn’t even believe it. I like the atmosphere. It feels like a family place which I always love supporting as a family owned restaurant. Our server was very friendly and one thing I wanted to mention was that I cannot believe. I just can’t believe how big this menu was lol I think it’s like eight pages long all the food choices. What restaurant has eight pages of a menu? It’s GREAT. I was very pleased. The food was delicious. If you don’t like Mexican food give this place a try they’ll change your mind.

The tortilla soup was bitter, and the owner's attitude was rude when we shared our feedback. I will not be returning to this establishment. It’s no surprise the place is always empty.

We are working on a tour of all the El Jimador’s as a fun Houston Bucket List Game. We have been to 5 out of 15 so far! Each one has been 5 star all around!

From the spicy green spicy salsa, the queso, to the fajita burrito, and Al Pastor tacos, everything was fantastic. My wife and son weren’t a fan of the red salsa and said it “tastes like tomato soup”. Great food here!!

I have dined, and enjoyed my experience at this restaurant on Hamblien many times. I brought my wife for a meal today. Service as as always was great. The bill came, but now there was a service fee. I spent with tip about $124. I do not appreciate a service fee. Do not know if I will be back

Never go to this place! They charge $20 for a skinny margarita! Are u kidding me?! Besides the fact that it was mediocre, not even Pappas Seafood charges that ridiculous amount for the same drink. Get over yourself, Jimador! Don’t waste your money.
