“I knew this would be a great place to take some friends who had never been to Texas before and wanted to experience non-chain Tex-Mex. The neighborhood, building, decor, staff and quality of food was perfect. However, the mirachi band is too much. Way too loud. It doesn't need to be so loud. It was if the horns had to prove they could play loudly. I get it, when a mirachi band is playing you don't have conversation, but wow, it doesn't have to be so overwhelming. We will go back. Great place!”

And don’t even get me started on The Jerk Shack's fried chicken it is crispy, juicy and seasoned to perfection. I also love their mac n cheese and cabbage. “The manager Adrian and our waitress Gaz exhibited the true definition of excellent customer service. My granddaughter is autistic and wasn’t happy about being at the restaurant 😂 When Adrian noticed that my party and I were leaving, he immediately informed me that he had a section that would accommodate us. Shortly after being seated, Gaz (our beautiful waitress) came right over and insured us that everything was ok. Our food was delivered to us in to-go containers so that we would be prepared to leave quickly if needed. She proceeded to provide us with exceptional service and no judgement. I cannot express enough how grateful we were. It’s people like Adrian and Gaz that make a difference in this crazy, judgmental, insensitive world that we live in.”

“Oh my, we have been wanting to check this place out after reading many posts on SA Restaurant fb site and boy were we in for a undeniable treat …. We were greeted by one of the two owners, “Heather” the wife, to be specific , and she was just a pleasure and a joy to listen to , very welcoming and presented a couple of specialty options, we had already scanned over the menu before arriving, we had decided on a classic pizza with meats and veggies , but being foodies and prior restauranteurs( specifically Hippie Chic’s River Shack / Hippies & Hops , in Concan, Tx.) we appreciate chefs and restaurant owners that push the envelope , think and create outside the box , we chose one of the new specials “The Sweet Southern Heat” topped with bacon, crumbled cornbread, jalapenos, mozzarella,dollops of house-made pimento cheese, and drizzled with hot honey , and oh, my-my! Soooo goood !!! Also split a greek salad ( so fresh and crisp) and the bread that everyone talks about with warm marinara sauce , & perfectly paired everything with a amazingly cold Hazy IPA. The service was spot on & the staff -joy filled!!! The other half , Co-owner, Justin ( husband of Heather)whom we were able to have a nice visit with made sure our food was timed and delivered perfectly, crust spot on crisp and perfect amounts of toppings. You gotta try this place out, you wont regret it!!! Oh and before you leave, grab a pint of their house-made gelato ( also expertly crafted)”

“Growing up in my twenties we used to eat mini tacos from a very famous place known for after hour many tacos. These are the best tacos we've ever had in our lives. We would drive for 30 minutes just to get to them and then they went downhill. When I found this place it reminded me of it and since then myself and my wife have been trying many different taco trucks and none can compare to how delicious the food here is. Only downfall is they accept cash only but does not take away from the quality of their establishment. Coming from a Hispanic background where barbecues and many tacos or a daily to weekly thing this place stands above it all please go and try it.”
