Pretty tasty Q in the highway thru Lampassas. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Menu somewhat limited, only 3 sides, but what they do is good. Brisket plenty moist with nice bark, ribs were tender with sweeter bark, sausage was ok. Sides too. Loaded baked potato certainly was! Reasonable pricing, comfortable space. Unlikely to make any lists, but will satisfy a BBQ craving

Brisket and Pulled pork are stellar. The bbq sauce is also really good. I think sides are rotating but I got potato salad and green beans, both delicious.

Super friendly staff. Amazing food. The brisket was so delicious and tender. I couldn’t ask for more on this beautiful Sunday afternoon. Husband agrees and says “you can’t go wrong with anything from the menu”.
The brisket breakfast burritos were delicious 😋 The service was awesome. Definitely recommend and will be back!

Ok, so my husband and I were just driving through town… Excellent BBQ! The sliced beef sandwich was probably the best I’ve had in a very long time. The BBQ SAUCE was tangy and sweet, the sandwich really didn’t even need it, to be honest. We had a side of coleslaw, and yet it was simple, it was delicious and refreshing. Perfect amount without being overly stuffed, felling like you need a nap afterwards. Great place! Highly recommend.

Came in for lunch on our way out to Hamilton. My husband knows his way around a smoker, so im spoiled with his perfectly cooked brisket.. but Young’s held its own! The brisket was so moist, no sauce needed (even though I had to sample it, it was delicious!) I had a bite of jalepeno cheese sausage which was perfectly cooked and lots of flavor and a nice bite! Husband got ribs and brisket, slaw, and potato salad. Sides were simple but good (get the pintos!) the brisket burrito stole the show imo. We’ve had most of famous bbq spots in Austin, and Young’s was just as good, and the service couldn’t have been better. Reminded me of my small Texas town upbringing where everyone calls you sweetie or honey. :) 5 stars. We will be back!
