Our favorite donut shop! Their glaze is perfect and sweet plus their dough is not too heavy. Haven’t been able to find another glaze donut hole place that I like better. We always get their kolaches, chocolate donut holes, and mini Apple fritters as well! Very nice owners but there have been a couple of recent employees that have forgotten my kolaches in the microwave and the donut holes and mini Apple fritters were not fully covered in glaze so it was mostly bread. Awesome doughnuts! I was always hesitant to go to an independent shop after growing up on D&D, but this place has THE freshest doughnuts- blows everyone away. Dunkin Doughnuts are hard and stale compared to the Lakeside Sweet Shop.My kids love their doughnuts and we go every weekend!

I work outside overnight in the area and was starving by the time they opened. I stopped and got way too much as my eyes were bigger than my stomach. I’m so glad I did too! Everything I tried was so good! I took a bite out of all of them and sad I only got one chocolate covered red velvet, it was amazing! The kolaches were really good too but I ate them too fast to get a pic! Y’all, this red velvet is where it’s at tho! I can’t wait to go back for more!
