Kahuna Joe's - Hawaiian Shave Ice

Found a new favorite spot. Staff is friendly and the vibe is cool. The traditional ice with vanilla ice cream is amazing. My favorite is hapia the coconut pudding!

One of the best Hawaiian shave ice is places around has a bunch of great flavors and the owner is an awesome guy and always knows my order!

Kahuna Joe’s Shaved Ice was such a fun little find! The whole vibe reminded me of grabbing shaved ice on Oahu’s North Shore minus the gorgeous beaches and ocean views, of course. It has a cool island feel that makes it a relaxing place to stop.

We went on a Wednesday for the special that was listed on their website. They weren’t aware it was still advertised, and the employee mentioned no one had ever asked about it before. Even so, he honored it by giving me a regular shaved ice for that price, which I really appreciated.

The shaved ice itself was delicious with great flavors, and I loved how cute they were put together. They also have drinks for the adults, so I could see this being a fun little evening hangout spot while the kids enjoy their treats.

We’ll definitely be back!

So good. They do not dip you on the flavoring of the snow cones. They even have boozy snow cones.

We decided to try this snow cone shop for the first time today after our usual place was closed, and unfortunately it was a very disappointing experience.

We arrived a few minutes after their posted opening time, but they were still closed. The owner eventually arrived carrying groceries and never acknowledged us or apologized for the delay, even though we had been waiting outside with our toddlers.

After bringing everything inside, we continued waiting while he finished opening up. When he finally spoke to us, he said his card reader wasn’t working and asked if we had cash. We didn’t have enough cash, and when we asked if there was another payment option like Zelle, we were met with attitude instead of trying to help.

We decided to leave and go somewhere else. Before leaving, we asked what time they normally open because the posted hours said noon. He said he was just running late that day, but when we mentioned that a neighboring business said this happens often, he simply rolled his eyes and closed the window on us.

We understand that things happen and equipment can fail, but communication and basic customer service go a long way. A simple apology or acknowledgment of the wait would have made a big difference. Sadly, this first impression wasn’t a good one, and we won’t be returning.

Cute spot. Snow cones look refreshing. Was interested in buying one. I asked if the flavors had artifical dyes. I thought maybe since they advertised no artifical sweetners maybe there was a chance. When I asked, the team seemed really annoyed with me. I felt pretty unwelcome. Sorry if I inconvenience anyone by asking about the products. Wish y'all were nicer. Because of this, I just left. Hope the team can try to be kinder to guests who have questions. A lot people have dietary restrictions and we are just trying to find places that we can enjoy. God bless.

Our server, well, her name was Addyson. We simply had to ask due to the outstanding quality of service provided. She singlehandedly prepared our snow cones with such precision and grace. It truly was an honor to be served by such greatness. Overall, our time at Kahuna Joe’s was one of a kind and we will be returning very soon! 😝

Great place with a very wide variety of snowcones. They range from everything needed to treat the kids of all ages to adult style snowcones!

We really enjoyed the snow cones but unfortunately had to leave immediately and eat them at league park because the bee situation! The kids were scared and screaming because there was bees swarming the entire area. I had to get them in the van immediately and go back for the snow cones. Im hoping I will see a post soon that says the bee situation has been taken care of. Soon as I see that I will be back with a group of friends.
