They were not open. We didn’t get to try the bbq
Great local BBQ joint. Well worth the stop and super friendly service. Plus no line to wait in, at least when we were there. If you’re looking for a comparison to Snow’s (as it seems everyone does around here):
Pork Ribs - juicier and more tasty than Snows
Brisket - absolutely delicious, moist, great bark; very slight nod to Snows
Mac and Cheese - possibly the best I’ve ever had
Potato Salad - solid choice, compares favorably just depends on what you’re looking for
The prices didn’t seem too crazy either. And they have a catering/large family order that I expect will take advantage of at some point too. Looking forward to trying Pop’s again soon.

Called in an order before I drove through town so that I could just grab and go. Had never eaten here before but was craving some BBQ. I can positively say that the craving was satisfied and then some. Great value and excellent flavor!! The team was very accommodating and friendly! I will definitely stop by again when passing through!!

Possibly the best brisket I've had my whole life and I grew up around it. Hope to try the ribs for my next visit!

Pop's cooking is on Point!!! And if you haven't tasted it, you are missing out. Food again, on Point, underpriced for the amount of food you get, and great service.

Was out of a Saturday motorcycle ride, and could not find a place that was open to get something to eat. Stopped at Pops and even though he was closed and sold-out of food due to cooking for a catering event. Him and Sunshine found it in their hearts to make me a burger and fries.

Hate to be the first negative review, but I just can't get past how expensive it was for what we got. I understand completely that bbq is expensive. I've eaten at many bbq joints in the state. Wanna point out first that the flavor of the brisket was excellent. Loved the sausage, too. So I ordered 1 lb of ribs... 1/2 lb of brisket and a sausage link. We got in our boxes 3 ribs, 2 slices of brisket, and a sausage link (around 7 inches). The total was $58. Just seemed very steep for the amount of food we got. The math wasn't mathing. We would have gone back, but we were on a deadline. Just wanted to pick up some good bbq on the road trip and just wish this experience was better.
