Place an order online, get to the drive thru and have to wait?

Rachel W

Tonight I went in to take my two young daughters in for a simple dinner where they were excited to eat inside (we usually do drive thru). The cashier was struggling to understand my order, so I reviewed it many times with him. No problem there. When I received two cheeseburger kid meals instead of chicken nugget kid meals, I received push back as to whether or not I really ordered chicken nuggets. I tried to explain I thought there may have been a communication barrier. After 3 people came to see what was going on I got chicken nuggets for my kids. As soon as I sat down at my table the woman who I asked to exchange the burgers for nuggets, started talking about me to another girl right in front of me, using hand quotes when she told her coworker it was a communication barrier. I asked them to stop talking about me.

After feeling mocked and not believed about my order I could not stay. When I asked to speak to a manager before leaving, I found out the manager on duty was the woman who listened to her coworker speaking about me.

To boot, my husband’s baconator came looking like a kids burger with half the bacon he usually gets.

And for the record, my name is Rachel. The receipt said “Richer.” I am definitely poorer by visiting this Wendy’s. Such unprofessional and rude people running this place; prepare yourself!

The food at this location is pretty good, as Wendy's go. Haven't had a bad meal yet in a handful of times stopping by. There is a lot of room for improvement when it comes to service and the cleanliness of the dining area though.

Most of the employees will help you, but none of them (except for one middle-aged woman who was working there initially, but seems to have moved on) have been what I'd call eager. I've been the only person in the place more than once and still had to wait for someone to finish up a casual conversation in the kitchen before deciding to come help me, only to receive a look as though I inconvenienced them.

The dine-in area has been pretty dirty every time I've gone. From frosty spilled on tables and left to dry, to stale/nasty smelling water in the flower vases they decided to add to the tables. It was clean for the first week or two, but that fell off pretty fast.

If you do decide to go here, just hit the drive-thru instead of coming in.

Staff is friendly, remodeled look. Very modern. Attracts attention. More efficient in the way you can order with the new kiosks to order. Overall impressive improvement efforts.

Fries were soggy, cold, and too salty. Burger (#1) decent, chili good. I probably won't be stopping there again, however.

My order was missing a drink this time. Something's always missing consistently.

Left after AI couldn’t understand our order.

Slowest service I’ve ever seen at a Wendy’s. On more than one occasion, I have waited an extended amount of time for a simple order. Today, after waiting in line for almost 20 minutes, when I finally reach the window, I am told that their fryer isn’t working. If that is the case, turn off the AI ordering so that you aren’t taking orders that you cannot fill. Very frustrating to waste my entire lunch break.

Not a fan of the automated ordering. It’s buggy and gets the order wrong.

My last three experiences have all been terrible. They have been short staffed, the food wasn’t made right, and they told me they were out of items, each time.

The drivethrough is run by AI, so there is 0 hospitality.
If you complain a person will come, though, so that is why there are 2 stars.

I don’t get where all the hate for Wendy’s AI DT system is coming from. It took my order flawlessly. With an order confirmation screen it’s easy to make sure your order is placed correctly. What many people hating AI don’t seem to realize is that most order takers in this business are mostly poorly trained employees who either don’t speak English well or just don’t care about customer service. An AI system will never tell you “I’ll be with you in a minute”. This system is the future and will be standard in nearly every major fast food restaurant soon and it won’t be long until everyone embraces it.

The food was actually very good. My burger was made exactly the same way I ordered it and my chili was served with chili sauce as I had requested. The beverage I had was perfectly carbonated.

Waited 30 mins for a mobile order. Once I finally got the food everything was cold except the fries which was their excuse for everything taking so long. This location needs to be shut down. I know with how cold these burgers were that I got, they were made 30 mins prior and they still served them to me. No clue if they forgot about me or what they were doing in there. A health code violation. Not to mention the employees were grabbing frozen fries with their hands after handling money, handling dirty cleaning rags, and putting them in the fryer. Absolutely disgusting. Tried to call to ask for a refund and their number just goes straight to voicemail.
