I went on 2/27/26 after hearing all the hype about this place. The food was good although the portion was small, in comparison to Chipotle it was enough for me. I paid $25 for a 1/2 filled bowl and a drink which I felt was steep for the amount of food. I do give them credit for the flavor of the chicken, not sure I’d go back though.
Great food. Love the bowls and quesadillas.

I went in to pick up dinner and the service was great but the food was honestly awful. I ate like 3-4 bites and tossed it. It was so plain and had no flavor. I was bummed cause all these reviews say how great the food was. I was shocked when I got home and it tasted so plain. Don’t think I’ll go back unfortunately.

This was great. My first time. She was very energetic and helpful. She happily explained everything to me and made my order with a happy smile. I had a bowl with Mexican rice, black and pinto beans, jalapeños, corn the green salsa, barbacoa, carnitas, queso, and guacamole. I also had a small bag of chips with the red salsa as well as a drink. I had the hibiscus, it was great. I also tried a sample of the tamarindo, which was also great. I will have to stop again when I drive thru to Houston. Wonderful food, wonderful people, a definite MUST.

If you love Chipotle, you will love Spicy Rico. It’s a small town version of the place we all love! The employees were super friendly and the food tasted amazing. Once word gets around about this place, it will take off. Go in or take it to go, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!

Fast, friendly and delicious.
I’ve come in three times now, I do try to give people and establishments the benefit of the doubt. I get people have bad days and off days but in saying that everytime has been the same. The food is good, the service however is horrible!!! They are rude all of them, the older man especially very rude to me and my daughter in law, also to the person standing in line behind us. Then the lady who was ringing us up was also rude. I was waiting for the reminder of my order after paying. She said ugh okay you can go, ugh okay I’m waiting for my food. - it takes zero dollars to be kind especially when you are in customer service. KINDNESS COSTS NOTHING BUT MEANS EVERYTHING TO SOME

If you like the other "make your bowl" type restaurants, you will like this one. Fast, affordable, and delicious
I was disappointed, we used to go to this place when there was a restaurant, they closed and opened twice, the first time was great, but now, it's not a restaurant, it's fast food, small selection, small space not like before, a quarter of the restaurant and the bar are closed, I wonder how long this place will be open, sad
