I’m writing a review to warn people of GERMAN COCKROCHES. I killed one crawling in our table. Our food was NOT discounted. I will not be back, this place is disgusting. I feel sorry for the waitresses

I happen to be in Livingston, Texas looking for a sushi restaurant. Sakura was the only one on the menu. I went there and the place blew me away. The owner makes you feel like family there. The food is fantastic. Perfect temperature. If you know anything about sushi? It’s gotta be the perfect temperature to taste right , and they had every burst of flavor come out in that fish some of the best sushi I’ve ever eaten. Being from New Orleans, we know food and this is some good food!!
There were five of us and we had a very enjoyable time, our friends had made reservations and we were greeted warmly when we arrived. They do not serve coffee but they were fine with our bringing our own, also the serve Pepsi and we preferred Coke, they were gracious about allowing us to bring that as well. Service was excellent, our orders were taken and it wasn’t long until our food was ready, although they brought out one serving at a time. We were all happy with our food, we were guests of our friends so I don’t know what the total was, my vegetable tempura was around $16.00 I think. You should try them when in Livingston!

Pretty impressed with service and the sushi rolls are pretty good. Only complaint is that every time my sashimi is warm
It was our first time in tonight but most definitely won't be the last. Food was gorgeous, plated to perfection, flavor was unmatched. I have had orange chicken all over and theirs is by far the best I have ever tried in my entire life! Hands down best sushi ever tried! My husband even said he would like to try more and I NEVER thought he would eat sushi ever, much less want to return!!!!!!
I can't wait to return to try more fabulous food choices. Thank you!

I’d rate the Shaggy Roll a 6 out of 10. It was just okay—not great. I was expecting some crunchy toppings, but it didn’t have any, which was disappointing. I also asked the waiter for some ginger, and it only came with one small piece to the platter… like really? For $16, I honestly don’t think it was worth it.
I usually go to Yu Sushi because they have the best sushi hands down, but I didn’t want to drive that far today since I had errands to run nearby. I took a chance on this place, but I probably wouldn’t order the Shaggy Roll again, may not be stopping again.

At first glance you wouldn't think it would be any good. But once you walk inside and are welcomed you can relax. Took my dad out for lunch. Our waiter was very nice and informative. (Blonde girl) we ordered goyza dumplings which were ok. As well as the sushi platter and 2 lunch hour rolls. Service was fast food was tasty. Will return
Wow! First visit, impressed 💪
The gyoza was really good, of course. I also had the Tom Yum soup (forgot to take a photo). It was FRIGGIN DELICIOUS! …chocked full of carrots, cabbage and onions, and several shrimp, in a spicy light tomato broth.
I had the Chirashi plate had plenty of sushi, great value.
The staff was cool, and the Sapporo was cold. 👍
I’m definitely coming back.
Food is too expensive for what you get.
