Shrimp Boat Manny's Reviews
This place is excellent! My husband and I have eaten there for decades now and he thinks your fried shrimp is the best along with the cajun potato casserole. I love the medium boiled shrimp and the salad's are delicious too!
Stopped in for lunch. Very unique place. Love the free crosses on the patio. The entrance shows the age of the place with a pay phone on the wall. Great food and service. Great Southern food, nice servers, Christian organization
Shrimp Boat Manny's is a restaurant that offers a range of opinions. While some customers appreciate the great service and food, the lack of cheese sticks has impacted their dining frequency. The menu includes dishes such as gumbo, étouffée, and fried shrimp, which have been described as both salty and delicious. Portion sizes are reported to be small, with some dishes containing mostly shrimp tails. The restaurant has potential for serving decent Cajun food, but the use of salt in their dishes is notable.
Recent customer reviews praise the Chicken Nagliappe, with the sauce being described as very good with the right amount of garlic, and the chicken being tender with crisp bacon. The service is also commended, with the waitress providing attentive service and ensuring glasses were always full. Customers have also noted the restaurant's cleanliness, low noise level, and relaxing atmosphere.
One reviewer, who dined at the restaurant in 1994, notes that it hasn't changed much and that the server did a great job. The reviewer, who is from Louisiana, was impressed by the fresh seafood and authentic Cajun cooking, stating that the restaurant "has it all."
