Hook & Reel Cajun Seafood & Bar

I have been to the Hook and Reel in the past month: for lunch with my mother and dinner to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We have had great dining experiences on both occasions. I personally prefer the Lobster Bisque over the Clam Chowder. The Shrimp Baskets were a favorite with my family. The Sweet Potato Fries and Regular Fries were very good. My favorite was the Seafood Boils. I had mine with shrimp and crab legs - so good! I’m glad that they have options for non-seafood lovers in my family. The Chicken Tender Basket was perfect for my child; hence, everyone enjoyed eating at Hook & Reel! Skyler is an exceptional server. He always had a smile on his face and he was way ahead of us when it came to drink refills. We can’t wait to go there again!

The food was incredible. I had scallops and a lobster tail in garlic butter with broccoli corn and potatoes. Definitely a five star will come again

Best seafood place I have ever been too in my entire life, the crawfish were great sized and the king crab leg was priced right which is rare, the waiter we had checked up on us the right amount of times which was helpful, aswell as there being no wait or line. The decorations inside were nice too. Great great place.

I've always wanted to try one of those seafood boils where they bring it out in a bag still streaming and open it in front of you. I was thrilled to find this place had opened just within the last year! I wanted good seafood for my birthday and the reviews looked promising. It did not disappoint in the least!We saw they had 5 different sauces/ seasonings our server (who was the perfect balance of attentive but not overbearing, I wish I could remember her name) recommended the house blend or the seasoned garlic. We tried the house blend on the steamed oysters. It was so good, we immediately wanted it on our entrees. My husband got the crawfish, lobster tail and added sausages. I got the snow crab legs, scallops, and added hard boiled eggs.Lemme tell ya, when they brought out our food, my bib and gloves were at the ready! It was the best seafood I've ever found in East Texas! I want to buy that sauce in a bottle! I also love the fact that you can add all sorts of extras and mix and match however you like. There's something there for everybody who likes seafood!

Food was really good, loved the steamed oysters. I also had the sausage shrimp and lobster that were also really good with the sauce. I did have a drink from the bar it was kinda weak but overall I loved the service and their food. Will definitely be back

We had an excellent experience for Valentine’s Day lunch. The waitress, Susan, was very responsive and answered all of our questions since it was our first visit. The food came out quickly and is delicious with well sized portions. We’ll definitely be back. Pictured are the sweet potato fries and lunch combo with shrimp and shrimp po boy.

The food is amazing and staff is very kind and attentive to the needs of there customers amazing place for family’s ! And the lady Mrs Susan is truly a sweet heart

I was looking through the Google reviews before I ate here. I was a little concerned about the negative reviews, but my friend and I ate here today. Naomi our waitress was super sweet! The food was fresh and hot. I enjoyed my basket of really large fried shrimp. My friend enjoyed her food as well. We will be back!!

It was pretty good. Would like a few more options besides crab ?. Food was pretty good, I had the catfish basket. Server was quick to point out the breading may be different than what I might be accustomed to. Great idea to mention that, but it was pretty good. My wife had the crab legs, said they were good; however, would liked to have had moist towelettes to clean up with. Server was good but, didn't "wow" me. Will visit again.

Food was amazing, hot fresh and fast. Hannah was our waitress and she was awesome. Very friendly and helpful. Definitely worth coming back!

The wings here are better than almost anywhere in town. Fried shrimp is cooked perfectly 99% of the time. Building your own boil, don’t forget the perfectly cooked noodles and your be fine. Great flavor choices with their in house sauces, and some quality soups.Really, feels like I’m family anytime I come in with some of the best staff in Longview.

The boils are really good, the crab legs,, shrimp and sausage were great, crawfish were small but its early in season, the calamari had a good flavor but was chewy, It was a good place to eat all in all

Atmosphere was nice. Service was great. A little pricey. Calamari was really good, not overcooked as others have posted. We ordered the crab legs and shrimp boil. Hook and reel sauce was nice. Crab leg shells were a little soft, which makes them hard to crack. Shrimp was great. Will go back.
