Every time I come to Longview stopping here at least once, is a must! I love this spot. Been here for years providing the most home style BBQ and side. My favorites are the boudin, ribs and of course brisket. If you ain't been here yet, do yourself a favor and try it out. All the wood they use is locally sourced and provides a delicious wood fired taste. Two thumbs up!!

I decided it was a good day for barbecue, and I wasn’t the only one! I was hungry and as soon as I walked in, my hunger level instantly went up; the smells were out of this world! I joined the line, which was moving smoothly along! There are plenty of meat choices on the menu board, and I decided on a chopped brisket sandwich for carry out. We are new to the area and headed to the mall when drove past Carter's. It was around lunch time and the drive up line was out to the street. We figured it must be good so when we finished shopping we stopped in for lunch. My husband had the ribs which literally slid off the bone and he said were VERY good! I had the Boudin which I have never had before. It was ok but a different type of sausage than what I had in mind. The potato salad was also tasty. Overall we will return.
