Can’t say I enjoyed the food seeing that my fiancé and myself a party of two were sat down, and no one ever came to our table. After 10 minutes of just sitting and seeing parties that walked in after us get service before us we left.

I have never received such poor service at a Salt Grass as I have at this one in Longview. Beyond just my experience today this extends back to my last two or three experiences this year so far.
I expect so much more from a Salt Grass. Management needs to revisit the core values that sets Salt Grass apart from the rest.

Steak quality has gone down. Plus was over cooked. My dinner companion found hair in her potato. Service was adequate.

Lunch menu, variety of choices, however my $19 steak was grisly. Also had salad and baked potato soup instead if a side. The soup was good as well as the salad.
We had a fantastic experience for dinner! Our server, Chandler, took exceptionally good care of us, checking in without hovering and ensuring we had everything we needed to enjoy our dining experience. The food was delicious as well. We had a delightful evening and will definitely return... and we will request to sit in Chandler's section!

It was our first time to Saltgrass in several years. We were BLOWN AWAY by Tina’s service!! Her knowledge and recommendations from the menu were spot on! She gave us the absolute best service we have ever had, hands down!!!!! Highly recommend Saltgrass in Longview! Ask for Tina!!

We got the ribs and shrimp to split and it was very good but VERY pricey. We don't eat much and we're still hungry when we left. The waiter was ok but nothing special. We will probably go back sometime but we have to find a money tree to pay for our $29 plate.

Came back to use my reward! Food and service were great! DJ took care of us and MOD Jamie stopped by. She was accommodating and let us benefit from the happy hour menu(we sat far away from the bar area)...thanks a million! On another note, there was a server working last night named Merana. She and my youngest son connected months ago at a Special Olympics event in Longview. They remembered each other, and it was a joy to see them interact. Merana genuinely cared about his growth and development and listened to him rave about his summer vacation. There's a special place in Heaven for GENUINE people like Merana! Thank you Saltgrass Longview, keep up the great work!

The service is a little slow but everything else is great so it's easy to over look them being slow. Happy hour till 7 is where it's at.

The food was good, the service was good, the appearance and the atmosphere was good. The only thing that bothered me was hearing someone in the kitchen yelling at other kitchen staff repeatedly and hearing it all the way through the dining room. It's unprofessional to let everybody in your dining room hear that and to treat your employees that way. I understand the kitchen is a fast-paced place but that's unnecessary And unprofessional. The wait staff were very friendly and nice.

Same experience it always is. Steak will forever be just a bit overdone, app comes out a little too close to dinner to enjoy.

It's been a long time since I visited Saltgrass in Longview, and I'm not sure why. It was a very good experience! I will definitely be back very soon. Thank you Jamie!

So we’ve been to this Saltgrass quite a few times and our last visit wasn’t bad, but I was disappointed on a few aspects. Service was great, but I have feedback on the following below.
Food quality:
I ordered the Pats Ribeye and I believe the plate was $31. If I had seen the cut of meat before hand I would have changed to something else, as it was not worth the plate cost. Seasoning was good, was cooked close enough to what I asked for, but the quality of the meat itself that I was served was not worth the cost.
Another couple at our table ordered the chicken fried chicken because the portions use to be ample. The serving size has gone down significantly. They basically had 3 bites each splitting a chicken fried chicken.
They no longer allow split checks on large parties, which I didn’t really have a huge problem with, but disgruntled some of my larger party.
The prices have gone up significantly so to see the portions shrinking as well as the quality is very disappointing. I know food costs keep rising, but you cant raise prices while serving smaller portions with lower quality ingredients. In addition, putting extra restrictions on large parties doesn’t really seem to be necessary. I haven’t seen that policy at many, if any other restaurants.
