Benito’s 2 on 98th/Indiana - Picked up dinner for the family from this location and the experience was fantastic from the beginning to end; my call was answered by AJ, who was friendly and took his time with me as I placed my order. When finished, he repeated everything back to confirm the order and said when I arrived, go to the bar, ask for him, and he’d have my order. It was ready promptly when I arrived, the server who finished bagging up my order was super friendly, had beautiful glittery eyeshadow I just had to chat about for a bit, and she helped put the bags in my hand, noting which ones had the soups and to keep it flat.

Unpacked the order at home and was instantly pleased; food was still hot, despite me chatting with my neighbor for 10 minutes before going inside; we ordered Ziti Pomodoro, Chicken Siciliana, the Seafood Combo all with Minestrone soup, and Limoncello cake. I had seen a prior review about portion sizes and I don’t know whether they maybe had an off experience, were at the other location, or I prefer a “smaller” size but the amount of food was ample enough for tonight and lunch tomorrow! Calamari and all the seafood in my son’s dish was cooked well and not rubbery, chicken in my dish was tender and not overdone or dry, Minestrone soup was delicious and not salty or bland. Pictured are the seafood combo and Chicken Siciliano as my mom had already started eating her Pomodoro!!

Went for dinner with my Mother, decided to grab a couple glasses of wine and share some appetizers. We got fried calamari and it was the freshest I’ve ever had here in Lbk! Cooked to perfection and not over done. We also got Caprese Salad and Mussels. The garlic knots were amazing as well. Everything was great and reminded of our adventures living in Italy. AJ was our waiter and he was very friendly and helpful, he even went out of his way to ask the Chef if we could get mussels in white wine sauce next time. Of course, they said it wouldn’t be a problem! Amazing place and we will be back soon!

Benito's Italian Cafe & Pizza is an Italian food restaurant. Its flavor is unique. I ordered a snapper fillet in sauce with its fettuccine and it was delicious, as was the finger-licking seafood combo. The attention we received was great, the hygiene is good and the atmosphere too, they cook delicious, we will return

First time being here and it’s not really a place I would recommend! The food wasn’t great and the staff were very awkward. Food took forever to be brought out as well.

Zeke and Maryann were lovely. The food was good and prompt. However - my issue is management. The manager was standing behind the bar snapping his fingers at his waitstaff demanding to bring him a water (sir you’re a grown man and your waitress is doing her job get it yourself) and barking orders instead of offering to help. Soured the mood for what I was hoping for.

The staff really was nice and so sweet. They deserve better management.

Our meal was delicious, so the four stars are for that, but service was kind of awkward. Our server alternated between fun banter and forgetting things we'd requested. Nothing serious like our entire order, but lemons for our waters, the drink I ordered, refills, and our ticket at the end. I'd go back but with some mild hesitation.

Great food and service! Wouldn’t mind a table that wasn’t so wobbly (water even tried to fix it with no luck) but the food was so good!

98TH AND INDIANA LOCATION!!

The wife and I decided to go out on a date on Sunday night. We had eaten at the previous restaurant in this building so we decided to give Benito's a try. We were seated promptly. There was no one there when we arrived but the two sitting at the bar. Our waitress brought menus and our drinks in a timely manner. We browsed the menu as it was all new to us. When we ordered we could tell the waitress did not know the menu. My wife actually pointed to the item on the menu so that she could see what was being ordered and then write it down. I ordered and she was off to the kitchen. The food came out in a timely manner, but the order was NOT right. My wife called the waitress over and told her that this was not the item she ordered. She seemed to be a mix of confused and embarrassed. She did not immediately take the plate of food back. In a few minutes she came and picked up the plate that was wrong and then said she had the correct order cooking. The manager, possibly the owner, brought the correct plate out shortly. We had to ask for refills on our drinks. When we asked for the check we were charged for the salad that came with my wife's entree and the soup that came with my entree. My wife brought it to her attention and she told us that it was her 3rd day.
So, when we were done, we discussed that this is just another mediocre restaurant to add to the list in Lubbock. You cannot throw a waitress to the wolves if they don't know the menu or how to charge for food. We normally won't throw a place away with one bad visit, but with our experience with the service and the mediocre food, we will mark this one off the list.

Just picked up togo lasagna and salad. Had never eaten there before and, of course, didn't know what to expect. What a surprise! The portions are huge and delicious. We will definitely go there again.

It was pretty good. I've only eaten there once & that's not a fair sample. I'd like to go back & try something different.
