Colimas | Mexican offers some of the very best Mexican food in Lubbock. The food is delicious and comes in large portions. The birria tacos are the size of 2 tacos combined and are the best in town. The barbacoa was the bestttt. The elote tastes fantastic and the aguas frescas are on point with many flavors, including some not seen anywhere else. The fruit trays are a highlight. Service is friendly and the seating area is kept clean. For Lubbock OGs, this is the same people behind the counter from the old Raspados, serving the same deliciously comforting tacos, tortas, elotes, and horchata. It is tucked away in a little-rough-around-the-edges part of town, but it is worth it for the best Mexican food. Worth the money and a new favorite.
