The chicken fried steak is incredible!! They asked what I wanted to drink, and I asked for lemonade (which they didn't offer). I was fine without a drink. When I got there to pick up my order they handed me a handmade lemonade that was so absolutely delicious. Kind of like the fair. They totally went above and beyond. Definitely look forward to visiting again.

The service is excellent, they truly care about their customers. The food is excellent. This is the second time we have came. First time we got hamburgers and they were very good. A good size meat Patty, toasted bun and not dry at all. This time we got breakfast and went inside. Awesome home made tortillas.

Don't judge a book by its cover. Great Mexican food. Definitely a bit of a drive but it's so worth it. The dine-in area is very small, they do have a drive thru for to-go orders. No public restrooms. Not much for parking, others parked across the st. Follow on FB for specials & events. Prices were awesome for the quality of food. Fresh, authentic and delicious. The owner is the Chef & his dishes are all made from scratch. I forgot to take pictures of the food I scarfed it down so fast (beef enchiladas). My man had the cheeseburger....it was tasty & big (1/2lb patty) with homemade crispy fries.

This is the best barbecue in Texas. I'm a slow eater and it takes me approximately like three minutes to finish a plate. Bring your pictures back up.

Don't let the outside appearance fool you... because on the inside you will find the friendliest people.. great service... and a good burger with fresh homemade fries (not frozen)! We will definitely go back!

The drive is worth it. Believe me! Follow them on FB - they post the daily specials there. Call ahead orders are welcome & you'll still get the great service whether you dine in or take out! It's definitely a "Hole in wall" type of restaurant but very well managed. I got a carne guisada burrito and some chili cheese fries for lunch. The carne guisada tasted how my mom used to make it, and it's definitely an 8 out of 10! ? The chili cheese fries, on the other hand, were good, but the fries were a bit overly fried and greasy. Overall, Cuevas Drive In is a great place if you're not trying to spend a large amount of money and not kill your pockets. Good food and a great vibe.

Love the food, staff, and service! A friend of mine and l ordered the chicken strip special and MY. GOODNESS. Mouth watering chicken strips, gravy, and fries (both waffle and regular fries) were amazing! Highly recommend. The staff is beyond sweet too! You can't beat a $10 special with a drink!

This place is overall a good place. My family and I went here for breakfast, and all got chorizo and eggs breakfast burritos. The burritos were decent but some chorizo was burnt. The people are so nice and gave us complementary chips that were fresh and delicious. The building is kinda creepy but still an awesome place.

This is very much a hole in the wall. The food was pretty good. The staff was friendly and the prices are reasonable. I like supporting small business and this is the smallest. The tacos were good. Meat was salty but the lettuce balanced it. If you exclude the lettuce and tomato it would be too salty. The chips were fine and the salsa was ok. It's a green salsa. Others in our group had steak fingers and chicken fingers. They were good. The not so good. Bathroom is through the kitchen. Slippery and the floor in the kitchen needs to to be replaced (or even take down to cement). There were a lot of flies in the kitchen and bathroom. The rice was over cooked and very soft. The AC was a small window unit. It was ok but not cold sitting in front of the AC. I like that the building is more shack. If you're expecting a modern or professional commercial building you'll be unhappy. No doubt so people would not rate this a 4 but the experience, good enough food, friendliness of the staff, and supporting a small business puts it there for me.
